I think that was the problem (as they saw it) with SS overall.........and it marked the death nell for all the golden classics............by comparison the new one is a paralysed, strangled PC fest...........it can never be the same, which is a tragedy. In theory, they cant do anything now.........everythings off linlits. Its amazing they can continue at all.

I always liked this one as a kid. Jim and Marilyn make pretty good duet. I sure am glad this is on Old School Volume 2.

Marilyn Sokol, the voice behind Ma Otter, did indeed provide voice talent for several Sesame sketches in the 70's. If this sketch dates from that decade, then it's entirely possible. By the way, Karen Prell, not Fran Brill, performed Red Fraggle. (Fran was busy with Sesame during production of Fraggle Rock.)

That's Jim Henson's voice. If you listen carefully you can tell that it's his voice. I think that the sketch PiLfan is thinking of is the story of the country and the city mouse.

There was another country/city bit like this, but involved two brothers or cousin muppets...forget how it goes, but i remember it had both an english and spanish version.
