  • Republican's are TOO SOCIALLY CONSERVATIVE

if u ask most americans about fiscial responsibility they will agree with Republicans, but most see the the party as a party for old white men

    they need a make over

  • EXACTLY! I have no problem with fiscal conservatism, but when you couple it with religion and dumbass yahoos, it's too much. Even Goldwater was pissed off at how socially conservative his party was getting before his death.

  • They're also dying a slow painful death. It's gonna be a while before the old guard is gone for good.

  • i think its ironic that the GOP is the largest world-wide party of whites - doesn't represent or fight for whites in any manner. It's interesting, but to me morally reprehensible. I would support them if they actually were pro-white instead of just pro-zionism, open borders, social liberalism, big gov etc.

  • they are as pro white as it is gonna get

too bad the kkk isn't empower anymore huh(sarcasm)?

  • Maybe a little bit, not really though. That's just cause everyone looks at the extremists and generalize about the rest of us. For example: those reactionaries who claim that "god hates fags".

How come when those people crawl out from the woodwork everyone says "Them all are Republicans", but when people like PETA members harrass people no one notices.

    No offense to liberals.

  • farright extremisnt will only get you Limbaugh, and as war hero ColinPowell pointed out,he's not good for the party, even thought he doesnt belong to it,the key word here is INFLUENCE.When conservatives(all tipes)listen to the extremist they either side with him or they say "this guy sucks, were else can I go,lets see Obama seems to have some ideaas, why not try him" and it's here that the old republicanism fail, there arent enough extremist for them.If they go on like this, they deserve whatscoming

  • "civil rights" laws are special rights for certain groups. Making someone sit on the back of the bus or saying that a person can't vote because of gender was a violation of the constitution. It was ALREADY a law! The constitution was constructed for the rights of EVERY individual. NOT the collective rights of a few. Discrimination is NOT supported by the constitution. Yes it took years to do so because of politicians ignoring and not protecting the rights of individuals.

  • No. We are not conservative enough. Why is everybody so in love with socialisim? Citizens in European countries are treated like cattle. We the people own the government, the government does NOT own US! Try getting a socialist to think that way.

  • The GOP is not too Conservative, they just aren't sincerely conservative and most of us can see right through their BS.That's why i went Independant.I'm more of a Constitutionalist and I don't forget just because 4 to 8 yrs go by!

  • My fellow Americans.....I am embarrassed!

  • 5 +

    You Got Me There!

    Keep Up The Good Work!

    Deo Vindice!

  • Great video! Great message!

  • Excellent video.

  • A lot of hair splitters posting here.

  • Pick up hammer, hit nail on head. Thank you, SA.

  • I think you had it right in your article/video a while back.. the problem is they're the "War" party. It doesn't matter if you're a far right social conservative, or a moderate as long as you kiss the ring of AIPAC and promote more Bush Doctrine shenanigans around the world.

  • palin and jindal are progressives and social conservatives. They are hardly hard right.

  • Did you not watch this video... At all?

  • The problem is, conservatism and libertarianism aren't the same.

And the federal government can't "get out" of abortion or gay marriage. As long as Roe v. Wade stands, and marrying an immigrant gives them a green card, these issues will remain at the federal level.

  • they are out of gay marriage. Why do you think the states are handling it right now? 4 states have voted yes which i consider a step forward.

  • we disagree on a lot, but I always enjoy your commentary. Great points and well-said.

  • we need to get these damn republicans out of Carolina. except Sanford, hes cool.

  • 4:00 : bingo!

  • You are absolutely right.

  • Very interesting video.

  • ive spend enough time trying to convince people that lindsey graham, sean hannity, john mccain and other neocons arent conservatives and really arent republicans even though they have an r by their name on cspan. i thinks its time for a LEGIT third party

  • Brilliant! Bloody fucking brilliant!

One of your best commentaries yet SA.

  • Excellent post. The two parties are nearly identical in both rhetoric and deed. Both have hijacked the election process by basically locking out the third parties from the debates and media attention. We need someone like Ron Paul

  • Good speech Southern Avenger!!!

  • Seriously the Republican Party is finished. They became the party of big government, Patriot Act, and church tyranny. They used to be for low taxes, gun rights, and capitalism. Not anymore!

  • woohoo, sa! rp2012

  • He or Mark Sanford already have my vote.

  • Loving the vids SA. I agree The GOP has lost it's way. I feel that if RonPaul was selected as the GOP front man against Obama. It would have been a tie or an Obama loss. Ron Paul is the change the GOP needs.

  • I agree with you fully SA, but I reject the term radical right. Because techniclly facism is "radical right". Maybe radical libertarian.

  • Technically, fascism is a leftist ideology because it is big government and libertarianism is on the right because it is for small government. The only thing we should consider 'radical right' is anarchy-- no government. Ron Paul is actually a moderate.

  • Historically Fascism was a right wing Catholic nationalistic ideology. I'm not sure if there is a technical definition of it today. It's come to mean any totalitarian government.

  • fascism right wing catholic nationalistic idealogy???!!! where did u pull that from? isn't bowing to the popehead in rome anti-nationalisttic, right there ur definition falls apart. secodnly many progressive movements from free healthcare to free stuff for like people, enoviromentalism and other ideas can be traced back to facism. Sorry mussolini was not religious and neither was he an italian barry goldwater or thomas jefferson. fascism is merely another form of uber socialism like communism.

  • sarjil - No doubt you can see Mussolini from your house and you read all the papers. Your post does shed a light on why the Republican Party is losing members. Thanks.

  • wow, great answer, full of logical points to counter my points. Obviously u get me like nobody else, given that i have never voted or spoken up for republicans except for Ron Paul or to some extent Pat Buchanan (both rejected by republicans). Seriously that's the best youcan come up with!!. Your post does shed a light on why the Obama Party is gaining members. I'd like to still hear ur counter argument

  • sarjil -

Did my insult go over your head? You Betcha...

  • i don't care about your insult. ur arguments don't make any sense in the first place.

  • sarjil.

You should get involved with the GOP. Go to their meetings. Speak up. Be a player. They need your leadership and clarity of thought.

  • technically, you are trying to use a limited, antiquated paradigm. left & right, liberal & conservative, those are just words, that attempt to classify a moving target. you pretty much showed your ignorance, and lack of skill in handling even the classic definitions....which you were attempting to layout for us.

  • LOL. "limited and antiquated"? Um, no. I used the technical, historical, classic and original definitions of those terms. But you're a cute kid. Thanks for playin'.

  • you need to use your brain when a commentator is using a label per the popular usage, versus his own usage, he may switch back and forth even in the same sentence. you have to keep up.

  • My mistake. Sorry if I offended you.

    (^_^)

  • Fascism is a leftists attempt to "run capitalism through govt". Mussolini was a syndicalist before he became a fascist. IF you did not know - that is the radical left ideology. Essentially he tried to run the pre-existing capitalist enterprises, under govt control - called fascism.

  • Mussolini was one of the more infamous right wing dictators of the 20th century. In fact, some pre1980s dictionaries define fascism as a right wing ideology.

No big deal. Stalin was a left wing dictator and he was much worst the Mussolini.

  • Fascism is an extreme right ideology and Socialism is an extreme left ideology.

BOTH are unneeded in this world.

  • "BOTH are unneeded in this world"

Both are evils to be fought at all costs.

  • At least someone agrees. Thanks.

  • what ideology is necessary in this world, then?

  • Comment removed

  • Actually that's not true. Fascism and Socialism are both on the far left side of the political spectrum, as Oligarchies, or near total government. Search for/Watch the youtube video: The Political Spectrum Explained.

  • Dude, SA, you have yet to make a bad video...seriously...you try to push for your radio show to go on Sirius or push for it to go to a bunch of states because I guarantee it will get notoriety.

  • Wow-- Ron Paul fan, are we?

  • of course...he was the most conservative running in the primaries and election

  • Hopefully Ron Paul will be around for 2012.

  • arlen specter is a disgrace there are people that want campaign money back

  • Couldn't said it better, SA.

I'm strictly libertarian, but I would gladly have Ron Paul be President. I could care less if the man was against things like gay marriage because, as he's stated before, the government should not be dictating morality and the matter should be left up to the States. Similiar to being all for legalizing drugs even though I don't do drugs myself.

  • People say that the Revolution is the GOP's savior. F* the GOP, the Revolution is America's savior.

  • You said a mouthful there!

  • The only way we will get real change is with a 3 party! The R & D are the same party people they do the same shit!!!Obama is doing the same thing Bush did jest faster!!!

  • When the good guys compromise evil wins. And when the bad guys compromise evil advances. Compromise (on principles) always leads to evil. And all the GOP ever does is compromise. Thanks, GOP, for taking us over the cliff

  • Most Americans want less immigration and zero illegal immigration. If "Amnesty McCain" had stopped pandering to illegals and those that benefit from them he might have won. Calling illegals Gods children and immigration conservatives racists and bigots made me despise him, were not the poor citizens here also Gods children? I like Paul and Palin - she loves Guns, babies, Jesus and America! Paul loves the Constitution. Both Paul & Palin have the same enemies.

  • With all due respect, I think you might have missed the message that the creator of this video was trying to convey, which is namely that Republicans lost precisely because of all of the religious rhetoric and war propaganda.

SA is one of many people who believe that the Republican Party should reverse itself from the neoconservative direction it has taken in recent decades and embark on a more paleoconservative course.

  • rate and comment so more people see this! share it

  • The Hamilton County republican Party ad comparison of Spector (as a cancer patient) to Doctor Evil is beyond politics and disgraceful to the human race. Anyone that has been touched by cancer in their own lives should be screaming fuckin pissed. Sick, sick, sick.

  • You're evaluation of the Republican Party is dead-on

Just as the banks became insolvent by taking on too much bad debt!

The Republican Party became insolvent by absorbing too many leaders who didn't support they're basic platforms and principals

After years of moderate election results the party became desperate and lowered standards in hopes of increased victories

If the party leadership cannot identify and purge this toxic element, theyll become irrelevant and eventually collapse

  • Fuck'n A.

You hit another one outta the park with this one Jack.

  • "Too conservative" would be a constitutional government, not socialist like the dems and reps.

  • They are fascist not socialist. If the were Socialist our tax-dollars would be used to benefit the working class instead giant corporations like AIG.

"Fascism should rightly be called corporatism is it is a merger of corporate and government power."

    --Benito Mussolini

Either we need a more socialistic government that subordinates corporations to the sovereignty of the people or a conservative government that will end excessive taxation and spending; not the pork-barrel fascism we have now.

  • There is only a hair-split difference between socialism and fascism. Do you really want to get into it? Alright - both reject individual rights, private property and liberty. Choosing between socialism and fascism is like choosing between dying in a river and dying while waterboarded - makes no difference to the dying man.

  • Russia was a Socialist government and they murdered 100 million of their working class.

  • Russia was Communist not Socialist. Many people don't care to see the differences but they are not insignificant. Compare the Communist nation of China, the Socialist nation of Sweden and the Fascist nation of the USA and you will that Communism, Socialism and Fascism are significantly different from each other. Those who claim that they are "virtually the same" are simply uninformed.

  • USSR=Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

All totalitarian forms of government use brute force against its people.

  • both fascist and communist regimes have many variation, todays communist china is the world's best capitalists, mao's communist china was a stalinist hellhole, todays' america is not as fascist as ww2 italy or germany. both communism and fascism accordign to the description of their founders were based on 19th century euro socialist theories and have many facets in common. for example nazism based on german Socialist nationalist volk movement that came about during german unification process.

  • Both socialism and fascism reject the notion of private property. They both reject the primary nature of the individual and his rights. The rest of the differences are perfunctory. In the things that really matter - they are both the same.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • WOOT!

  • I wish we had a slightly younger Ron Paul...

  • "I wish we had a slightly younger Ron Paul... "

Ron Paul's ideas will never get old. They are simple, straight forward and based on the Constitution. Americans have been sold on the idea that America must be an imperialist power to be strong. Well those days are over. In ten years we will be destitute and no longer to play the worlds policeman. And even if by some miracle we don't become destitute, we still need to put a end to our insane foreign policies. They have wrecked this country.

  • kmg,

    Thanks for the perfect statement:

"Ron Paul's ideas will never get old"....

    True, Truer, Truest!!!

  • Hahahaha. The McCain supporters at 3:28!

  • The Southern Avenger strikes again!

  • "Hispanic"-supporter

  • No, the GOP is just out of touch....

  • SA, this was exactly my sentiments when I read that BS from Olympia Snowe, you said it more eloquently.

  • So if you're gay or lesbian and live in South Carolina you're suppose to give up you home, family, friends, and business and move? I think Ron Paul is kidding himself if he believes that what freedom is. Maybe he's been sucking on his golden calf a little to hard.

BTW, South Carolina is on Federal Dole. SC takes more from the feds than it gives. Instead of bitching about Obama, how about you guys get to work and pay your on way. That would be change.

  • A-effin-Men! now i don't mind SOME THINGS being regulated by the states but human rights SHOULD be on a federal level. Hell that's what they wanted to do with slavery. Could you imagine if that? We would probably still have 2 or 3 states with slavery legal because they wouldn't make it a federal law. Bill of rights is supposed to help protect the minority from the Tyranny of the majority. Letting states regulate their own human rights is illogical.

  • But the bill of rights was written by a person who believed in states rights. Funny how you forget that. Besides, the federal govt was all in favor of making slavery constitutionally immune. i.e. if federal govt had its way, slavery would be legal in ALL STATES, not just 2 or 3, and abolitionists would have nothing to stand on - atleast legally.

  • no they should vote democrat and hope that those democrats will care about a tiny minority more than gaining more votes (which btw, is how you win elections). Maybe Federal govt can force people to tolerate gay marriage. This is the only problem with gay marriage - it is supported by people who want to force people to do things the way they like.

  • utubbehayter - Your youtube site claims you are a staunch believer in Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness and yet you can't tolerant two adults living as they choose? No one is forcing you to live in fear of freedom or to be a hypocrite. That's a choice you make.

  • Hahaha.. who said "I" had a problem with people living free as they choose? But I am not going to force my values on other people. Get it? You don't have to be like me, and neither do "they".

  • Maybe I'm misreading your first reply or maybe you're disavowing it now. I can't tell. So no. I don't "get it".

  • You think south carolinian Gays and lesbians have it bad that they may have to move in order to live like they like to. Imagine how bad it would be if they had no where to go. You think federal govt should do your bidding and succeeds. Well, if it is to succeed, it has to be powerful. If it is powerful BUT chooses to bid against you - where will you go then? The UN? What if they are against you as well? Learn to appreciate the system - till you realize that force is not a solution.

  • Sorry utubehayter. I totally don't get your last reply. There's a lot of assumptions and paranoia, but little clarity on whether you are a staunch believer in Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.

Ron Paul side steps the issue when it come to abortion rights and equal rights by claiming it's up to each state. I think that's a cop out. That's my opinion. Whether you learn appreciate it or not isn't my worry.

  • Allright, I gave you my side, you tell me what you would do given the current status.

I personally am not a pro-abortion "rights", I respect life, but also believe that those who choose to sterilize themselves should have the freedom to do so. I am not interested in the state doing anything pro-life however. I would prefer the state to not do anything at all. Except maybe just wither up and die.

  • so instead of fighting at the national level and breaking up, we will fight at state level, how is that bad???? if you can kick out gays in one states, gays can kick out all religious and athiestic anti gay folks like myself. given that there is a thing called bill of rights accorded to every indiviudal, nobody is actually getting kicked out which makes ur argument moot.

  • eelzen you act like state government is a dictatorship. Why do we even need state government eelzen?

each state is it own little democracy you vote for people to run your state . Why do you have less faith in them and more faith in centralized government?

centralized government is the only form of governemnt that can turn into a dictatorship.

  • JUDASismyHERO

You act like state governments don't have a history of denying civil rights to people. The more local the government, the more inbred and xenophobic it tends to be.

My faith in Government has little to do with size and everything to do with people.

I have no faith in easy feel good answers and sound bites pushed by today's infotainment networks.

The history of weak decentralized governments falling into dictatorships is an on going problem in the world.

  • Yeah but all of those problems would be gone today without any help. from big government.. The free states that allow more freedom would prosper more and might even shun the other ones forcing them to adopt a similar stance.

Take gay marriage so far federal government has stayed away and states left and right are approving it. Long term those states will prosper more and the other states will lose people and revenues.

  • Would you rather move out of state or move out of country if one of your freedoms is taking away or tax has become to high?

you see centralized government and planning is bad for this very reason it leaves you no choices.

also decentralized governments falling into centralized dictatorships were dictatorships to begin with.

  • Centralized government is why we're a superpower with the largest military in history. You seriously think we as a nation we are going to give it all up because of your fear of a dictatorship?

I'd worry about things you can change instead of that which you can't.

  • we have never had the largest military in history. we have somewhere around 250,000 troops to some places that have in the millions.

  • Fine. I should have said the most powerful military. I forget people love to nitpick on the internets (sic).

  • the most powerful and the largest are two completely different things.

  • Nitpicking and being obtuse are two completely different things too.

  • how was i nitpicking? you said we have the largest military in the world and that is incorrect.

  • If you have a point disturbedone5009, you are free to make it. Don't be shy.

  • my point is that you said our military is the largest when it is not. i dont understand your confusion.

  • Comment removed

  • What? Haha

Actually that is one of the only things allowed by our constitution for our centralized government to have. Its one of the reasons our individual states are in union.

The other stuff your preaching for control over isn't in that contract.

  • I would think your fear of big centralizes governments would include big centralized military too considering the history of dictators and the military. I'm not sure what you believe anymore.

Sorry if you assume I am preaching for control over stuff? I am not.

  • Our founders wanted a small government. We have been ignoring the constitution for almost century.

Thus is exactly why we have 11 trillion dollars in debt and 53 trillions in obligations. its the reason for the financial mess and state of our economy.its the reason we have become less prosperous and the reason we have bases and troops all over the world and are involved in needless wars.

All of the problems we face today is the result of not following the constitution.

  • Our founders could not agree on what they wanted.

The fact that our constitutional government still stands, is a testament to civil debate and compromise.

I will assume you've actually read the constitution and at least some of our history.

The problems we face today only seem bigger because they are ours.

    l8r

  • True but if continue down the same path of Progressivism, bigger governemnt and more central planning.

The ones we leave this mess to will be complaining about the same things only bigger. Remember it only took us about 100 years to get this big and in debt.

You see not many repubs or dems refer back to the constitution. Because if they did they would have no promises of free stuff and wouldn't be able to offer grandiose solutions. They would be considered nuts.

    peace

  • What he said...

"Our founders wanted a small government.

All of the problems we face today is the result of not following the constitution."

  • founders agreed on the essential for a constitution. most of that compromise has been nonexistent in the last 150 years, ruling class dont care about the constitution. the prblems we face today is bigger becuz they are bigger, we are trying to do everything all at once when we are regressing everywhere at once while the world is progressing leaving us behind and we fall farther behind. i guess problems america faced in the 50's and today are the same cuz they are ours....lol, what reasoning!

  • We dont need to change our constitution we just need to obey it.

Our form of government is great. You just dont understand how it works.

I suggest you read the constitution because the constitution is the law of the land. I also recommend you read your states constitution also.

You can amend the constitution and change it just make you repeal the 16th amendment first

  • tell me of one military campaign in this century that our superpower military has accomplished with 100% satisfaction of success outside of the guld wars, where now we been bogged down, now compare that to the succes the confedarcy or US army of us-mexican war had given their smaller resources, succesfull armies thrught the ages are small groups taking initiative , which runs counter to massive government armies which engender inertia.

  • smaller governments are more personal leding to more nputs from concerned individuals making governance more responsive and less likely to exercise autocratic or despotic policies. history also shows strong central governments fracturing into smaller states as normalcy, you have to be inbred and xenophobic to an extent to value and defend your own, the reason why most nations stll exist and will always exist along their inbred national/ethnic lines.

  • Is that the same thing with the civil rights laws of the 60'? the Federal government was forcing people to do things the way they like? is that how you feel about that?

  • Actually civil rights laws are a growth in the forcing of people to do things their way.. Yeah. It will be resolved sometime in the future, hopefully by more sensible people abolishing govt, and hopefully without as much bloodshed. And its not about how I feel - its about principle, law, and individual rights and responsibilities.

  • So you feel that the Civil rights laws never should have been put in place? and the Jim Crow laws, black and women not being able to vote should have never happened and should be abolished? Along with blacks having to sit on the back of the bus? I'm just trying to clarify your position.

  • Did you not read what you just wrote? Jim Crow laws!

As for voting - I think no one should be allowed to vote - the concept of political voting ought to be abolished - rather abandoned.

As for blacks - let them decide what they want to do, bus owners decide about their buses.

And for you clarifying my position - here it is - don't do it. I am a voluntarist. That should be all the clarification you or anyone else needs.

  • Well if voluntarism is what you want to call it LOL. The problem is they weren't being allowed to do what they wanted to do. There's other words for those who don't support any type of national legislation supporting freedom, liberty and equality. There's also a line that has to be drawn. If you believe that a racist or segregationist policies should be protected in the law under the guise of freedom and liberty then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

  • Wow, you are a binary idiot - even though you use a fancy handle.. OR you are just trying to hard to seem that way.

Like I have said before - no govt laws, no force of govt law, let people decide what they want to do. How is that "protected in the law"? Nice try though, might even fool some uninitiated minds

  • No. Nice try at the attacks. You believe that everyone should be free to do what they want correct? meaning that a Minority should be free to work where he wants with freedom and liberty with no laws imposed on him correct? So you also believe that any company should have the freedom and liberty to discriminate against whom ever they want to as well correct?

  • yes, yes, yes

  • Okay so back in the 40's when pretty much all companies and institutions discriminated against minorities you would have fought for their rights to shut out everyone but white people because it is there choice?

  • Why would I need to fight for their rights? I would respect their rights to do whatever with their property, their businesses etc. In fact, I would take advantage of all that untapped skill and create my own business - much more profitable than theirs.

Would I support creation of laws to force them to not discriminate? Hell no! The "minorities" you project as hapless beings?

  • How about the Government's Rights to do what ever it wants with it's business?

Now i am not projecting the minorities as hapless beings. But the reason affirmitive actions was put in place because of the evidence that those minorities at THAT time ( not talking about now) were not allowed into College or many jobs regardless of their education. And were also denied business loans grants and housing. You feel that all of that should be okay?

  • Is there such a thing called "government's rights" or "it's business"? If a govt owns something (i.e. it has not used tax funds to bring something into its ownership), sure they can do whatever they want with it. Funny thing is - there is no such thing!

Do tell who was keeping minorities out of colleges? Talk to me like I am 3 yr old. Say a minority enters a college - what happens? a minority person starts his own college - what happens?

@ jobs- govt empowered unions kept minorities out

  • Ron Paul greatly influenced my choice to become a Libertarian. At first I believed libertarian movements were made up of a small number of people, but as a result of his campaign, I was able to see that liberty minded people are active in our society. I hope the Libertarian Party sticks to its values, and stays true to its name, as an antonym of authoritarian. The Republican Party no longer has any discernible values on a national level, and is not worth my support. Ron Paul 2012!

  • Fuckin-A.

    This country needs an enema.

  • What do you expect? Obama is simply a member of the democratic wing of the Neo-Con Party.

  • How about being a Confederate instead of a Republican? The Republicans will always try to attract voters by sacrificing some principle. You give the example of Ron Paul as a Republican who doesn't sacrifice principle, and I agree. But look it: he was not successful in being elected President. Why? Because most people are stupid and foolish, and the stupid and foolish people are outbreeding the smart and wise people. First we need a cultural revolution, and then we need political secession. CSA!

  • If the party elected a real Conservative like"cough" Ron Paul" .

  • 6 stars

  • two head's of one party = one in the same
