When I first saw this game, I thought it wouldn't be good, then I saw somebody do a let's play on it, and it looked awesome, which is when I decided to get the game.

This is one of the best if not the best rail-shooter on the Wii, and one of the better Wii games overall.

you got to understand EA wants to give somthing to fill in some of the blanks of the prequel, now they cant aford the money or time to make a dead space prequel, they will save all the money for dead space 2 so they go with the wii and on rails because its cheaper and it gets across the story that it needed to.

Think of it like a meal dead space one is the big starter then your waiting for the main meal so they give you appetisers your not ment to compare this game with dead space one at all

lol i noticed that the dead space extraction song that kicks in at 0:57 sounds very like the song for doom 3 but doom 3s song was fucking awesome this is probably the best game on wii but they shoulda made it on ps3 and xbox in first person so we got the story oh well we get dead space 2 on ps3 and xbox but wii wont get it

I dont see why these reviewers drop such high scores all the time. a 10 should be totally revolutionary, 9 an amazing game with a few minor flaws. While this game is pretty good, i dont think it really needed a 9

It gets a 9 because its an incredible rail shooter.

You cant compare this game to some other FPS or the original dead space, if you want to judge this game you need to judge it based on its genre. This is by far the best railshooter made to this date, that's why it gets a 9.

Dead Space complety kicked ass while sat in a room thats dark... while seated on a HD screen with either 360 or PS3.

Now your going to be stood up (which looses some tension) while looking at suckish graphics while being even more pissed off with the controls.

Dead Space is ment for consoles with more gamers who are interested in brutally killing things, Wii's are for bowling, cow racing, chessy 4x4 racing, pong, sonic... and for little kiddies... not blowing the shit out of aliens

My 360 broke, I brought a Wii.. got mega pissed off with it and got a PS3 and loved it ever since.

My Wii games where.. Wii Sports, Wii Play and somin where you run around shooting chinese people.. stranglhold or somin not sure.. I hated the controls.. and the lack of online stuff.

Nope, because the original was a masterpiece, this was just another cash in, adds nothing new and is just a washed out version that stands on fan favoritism in order to survive. Somehow, I don't think that is something to be proud of, either one of the two. I agree some rail shooters changed the face of gaming, but nowadays it's a lazy concept for arcade machines. Oh yeah, the wii certainly is! Who would like to have a console that excells in games like mass effect, halo, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed, Flashpoint 2? Rail shooters is where it's AT! Who gives a damn about movement freedom, gameplay and story?

That's why I said that these opinions seem bias because rail shooters aren't great after a few hours. I use to play the hell out of them in the arcades when I were younger. These "reviews" seem to be efforts to make a overall average game seem really good.
