Hei hei HEI dear Lady! Comfortably cool, comfortably dark, I think this is your best original yet. I find myself wondering how, out of the thousands of channels available on Youtube, I was lucky enough to find yours; I guess I'm just lucky.
I very much like the ethereal quality of the first minute and the song itself speaks about a human condition that can be prevalent in all our lives.
I enjoy the mix up with the piano. (It needs to be tuned ;-) ). My only suggestion is to make sure you have a concurrent flow. I always think about music as a tide, ebb and flow, or a stream, always bending and changing, but going to the same destination. This song has a good flow, but it gets choppy at points. Maybe just a little fine tuning and it will be even more awesome than it already is!
This has a flavor that reminds me of Sloan Wainwright's music...check her out if you aren't familiar with her. Same vocal tone. You might also consider recording a version where you hand off the music to a more experienced keyboardist so you can really nail the vocal delivery. Not that this wasn't intense, but there could be some value in stepping out from the instrument on this one.
lol, my opinion is your pretty, and that room has a gawd awful echo? believe it or not my fav by you is leaving on a jet plane. anyways, when you added the duet it seemed to cover the echo, bad (room) acoustics? I'm mostly heavy metal/rock n roll, but do like a lot of your songs. I liked it except the sound was off, maybe my P.C. speakers are getting blown out? lol, I always have it full blast :0),.. not if sure my opinion will help? Beep, beep
