  • how come scotch guys use tableclothes for their shirts?

  • im sittin here its sat. night my name is les,a coincidence, maybe sumin gonna happen like abba shows up and the girls wanna shang a lang

  • Oh my gosh, I was sooooooooooo in love with them!! INCLUDING Ian!

  • hola mi amigos i saw this videos in mexico ,i lived this times and I STILL MISES IT

  • i started liking the bcrs in 1977 i didnt know them with these band members who are they went to a bay city roller concert in december 1977 in Boston Mass those were the days!!

  • Les Is My Best - LOL Since 1980

  • Can you say "Lip Syncing" !!!

  • kuchipaku yeah!!!!

  • this isnt the song i wanted ;~;

  • @erimarie100 The Title says "Bay City Rollers - Saturday Night". What were you expecting?

  • i can hear the acoustic guitar in the song but on stage there isnt one.

plus its clear the dude is lip syncing and the instruments arnt even plugged in.Lame!

  • @nateswitch I don't know how old you are, but that's just the way things were done back then. When I was a little girl back in the '60's, our class had a field trip to a TV station where there were singing groups performing on the show we were invited to. They played recordings of the songs from the various groups, while the performers lip synced to them. That's just the way they did things.

  • @farashahanem oh ok, sorry i didnt know, ive wasnt around then so i never saw shows like this.

I shouldnt of said it was lame, the band is great and the song is awesome, i just meant it was lame that they were lip syncing, all tho now its been explained thanks :)

  • @nateswitch It's okay, you didn't know. I think it's a little-known fact about television and the media back in those days. Lip syncing does serve a purpose, but yeah, these days, it can cause a scandal sometimes. Interesting fact: Erik Faulkner (lead guitarist) came from a classical music background. He was a violinist in high school.

  • @nateswitch I tried posting a link that explains about lip syncing, but it kept making an error every time I tried to post it, I'm sorry. You can google it, though, and learn some pretty interesting stuff. :)

  • @BobLemkeSux.....No, I don't have a sister, so I used your sister's dildo. As it turned out, it was far too big for their "skinny asses", and would only accommodate your sister's grand canyon...and your ass.

  • @Jules91961 Do you like to lick smelly vaginas as much as tommieparch does?

  • Not sure if this was recorded for TV - or what - but depending on the circumstances and the venue, bands are often required to lip-synch. I do know that Les McKeown CAN SING! And he does it well. The man is a natural born performer. (I have no idea who the rest of those guys are.)

    Just sayin'...

  • @Jules91961 did you use your big sisters vibrating dildo on any of The Bay City Rollers skinny asses as yet?

  • @BobLemkeSuxDix watch ur back, i think your gonna get hit!

  • 11 people dont have anything to do on Saturday Night.

  • @gwar10 Those 11 people have nothing to do but watch Saturday Night Live! Get it? Not even a chuckle?

  • If this is 1996, you go Les. Cause he looks damn young here.

  • I love the song but I hate it when artist are phoney on stage. This is all lip sync. Watch the drummer, listen to the patterns. He is off. FAKE!!!

  • las bolass

  • 좋아요 잘 보고갑니다...!!

  • lol, theyre lipsynching to something recorded 20 years prior, and Les looks exactly the same

  • more like 1992 or 1993

  • Dude these guys always lip sync lol Ive only seen them do a live show a couple songs over the course of 30 yrs lol

  • to bad they weren't in a fiery plane crash

  • I love these guys!!

  • Les ! Forever !!

  • 軽いノリが心地よくていい曲ですね。バンドをやっている夫の影響で好きになりました。

  • Wow I was looking for lyrics for Yesterdays hero and this what I found instead awesome !! lol

  • the sound is recorded, it's not live.

  • Les must have guzzled 5 Red Bulls or 10 cups of strong black coffee before he went on stage. He has incredible energy and he looks GREAT.

  • Considering that this is 20 years plus from the original release date, Les looks GREAT !!!!!

  • lip syncing to the orginal record! They could have at least chose a live version. Also the lead singer has more hair now then he did in the 70s

  • Why are they lip syncing the original 70's single. they should have cut a new version for a reunion show.

  • @patrick9648 You have to ask why? Mainly because they are washed up pieces of garbage who sound like dogs gasping for their last breath. So i guess lip synching the original was a no-brainer

  • wht yeaR ?

  • joey ramone' favorite song

  • @nasty6uldv8 maybe not his favourite song but it influenced the ramones .they wanted the BCRs to cover `i wanna be your boyfreind`

  • Not live , turning main stream I guess

  • it can´t be be not 96 theres young there

  • Derek is not drumming

  • that's cause this isn't the rollers, there's only Les and ian Mitchell

  • Live my ass! Villi Manilli performance.

  • Ok..pissed off.....NO CLOSE UPS OF IAN???? Love Les bunches but still....dammit...show Ian up close!!!!!! :0(

  • that was the year that I was born lol

  • misterhooha? Where have you been?On Mars?

    BCR,1 hit wonder!!! Sure!!!

Don't know real much about the BCR eh?

BCR,a 1 hitwonder that travel the world for years, and filled stadiums....?Sure...Use Google or some other search-machine on your PC,look for The BCR and then come back here...

    Les STILL looks hot!!Even now!

  • It embarrasses me when guys clap over their heads!!!

  • this is not all the original bcr, only les.

it was probably 1996, cause i remeber they went back on tour around that time, just to cash in.

  • Great song, the root of the punk rock explosion. This version wears its punk rock credentials well with Clash drummer Terry Chimes on the kit.

  • It can't be '96. Unless Les hasn't aged in 20 years.

  • Lip sync

  • I love Leslie. The BCR's were one of the first boybands created. . A lot of performers these days are spoilt and act like primadonnas (sorry don't know what to call the men) who demand special treatment. The BCR's just got on with it and knew what it was all about ......the music and performance, They don't get the credit they are due to them. The music these days are such crap. And Leslie was and still is a true performer.

  • @rgjd44 This is a true playback, mate. Adn one of the ugliest "performing" I've seen in my life.. Sorry to ruin your world ;(

  • when I was 8 my babysitter used to play this record, and I LOVED it ,,,I never seen the vid till now ..wow ,,how gay!

  • one hit wonder...

  • From what little I could see, I saw one original roller, Les. I watched it hoping to see all of the original Bay City Rollers. Good song and video though.

  • im rockin on a S A T U R D A Y nite!

  • bunch of junkies

  • i love this song and im 10 my mom showed me this song and i fell in love with it and six2112 its not pathetid

  • oh hell, i still have a crush on you les, after all these years! lonelystreet

  • Well it was after all a TELEVISION performance of the song - so if they are doing a Lip sync to the record version, what's the big deal? Do people all sing "live" on TV all the time? Lots of things are pre-recorded - I'm not defending them as if they are a reincarnation of The Beatles, but it's not a crime against Nature to use a pre-recorded track ~ it's probably a re-mix of their original hit version, I would imagine.

  • Remember this song when I was 12 years old.

Those were the days. Glad I came across this amazing song again. It's been over 25 long years. I still wished I had the album.

    Thanks for posting.....memories

  • This is rock blasphemy.Where is the hard edge with the guitar? They sound like Air Supply on steroids.

  • I have news for you. The Ramones said they liked this group and their music and this specific song. The Ramones said 'Blitzkrieg Bop' was their version of this song. The Ramones had as much of an influence on rock music and any band today will EVER have. This kind of music is simple and clean and fun for the time it was written. It is better than the EXCREMENT that is filled with sex and violence and sold to kids today.

  • I have news for you.I dont care what the ramones said.Form your own opinon,I did.

  • You have your opinion and I have mine. The Ramones had their opinion and they are in the rock 'n roll Hall of Fame. I would bet you are not.

  • Refer to my last post, dimwit.

  • Same to you, pal.

P.S. Get a real hockey team to follow. The Blue Jackets are a 2nd rate team.

  • Game 7 at Joe Louis was a second rate performance also.Go Penguins!!

  • wow talk about lip synching, and the lead singer didnt even play his guitar. I wouldnt be suprised if all the insruments were faked

  • good

  • you know its been 35 years and I still love them today. Eric has the most beautiful eyes

  • this is the original lip synced. thats sad

  • it's pathetic

  • Can anyone tell me what video is it that they are kicking these gigantic white beach balls around while playing on stage?.I found it once & lost it!!! They all look like they're having so much fun.

  • That was "Rock N Roll Honeymoon" with Alan on lead vocals. Yep, great vid! = )

  • They've been on tour for over 30 years! LOL! unbelievable..........

  • just love this. The rollers where forced on me by my big sis as she was mad about them. I had the honour of sharing the bill with Les's Rollers when he played N. Ireland, we got on so well he shared half his bottle of JD with me in the dressing room after the gig. Thanks for posting this, great stuff.

  • Eric Faulkner the guitarist is my 3rd Cousin :)

  • この曲はヒツトしましたねー。

    彼らの曲のなかでも好きな一つです。

    ちなみに リードボーカルのレスリーマツコー

    エンの 奥様は日本人で彼のファンの

    一人だそうです。

  • baycityrollers were in the 70s

  • i guess the mullet wasn't an 80's thing huh lol

  • Matthew Perrys brother! LOL!!!!

  • Isn't half the band missing here?

  • I read that the band broke up and that only 2 of the original band continue on preforming. Sad. Loved the band when I was 15

  • I know Eric Faulkner still does in Scottland, clubs around his hometown.

  • les has his own band now(theyr on here, and in my favourites)they still tour now les is better, eric as far as i know stil tours scotland and ian lives in the states now, i have them all on myspace so keep up to date with them. hpoe this helps. j

  • audio overdub! good job though

  • The singer kinda looks like Matthew Perry's brother with long hair...LOL!

  • Its Les and Ian from the Bay city rollers. I don't care what anyone says I still think Les is great.

  • @rgjd44 wow....this is really bad...

  • Bwhahahahaha! Too funny! Hey, by the way, this is a lip synch. Rip off!

  • well i was born in the 80s. how do u think i feel. haha

  • SOUnds great! Can we come out of the closet now for liking this! :)Miss Eric.

  • wow....im out...im out...im out...let me back in the closet...sa sa sa satarday night. What is the crowd shouting..."your gay, your gay?"

  • Thats les and Ian from back in the day. The rest are non original memebers.

  • What band is this? It's not BCR. Unless it is one of those things were only one original is in the band but still uses the name. This looks like a bad episode of "Puttin' On the Hits" that lip sync show from the 80's. I used to like this song until I saw this shit. If I ever hear it again I'd think of this terrible video and get pysically ill.

  • So glad I found this one! I love this one!!!

    =) ~BJ~

  • what do you think kurt cobain thought of this show

  • Why the (LIVE 1996)????

    Good song, lousy lip sync.

  • Total lip synch! You would be able to hear the movement as he is spazzing out on the mic.

  • No way the vocals can sound exactly the same 20 years later. LIP SYNC ALL THE WAY.

  • ok. note - Saturday Night (LIVE 1996) It's lve in 1996, the song Saturday Night

  • OK! this is NOT SNL from NYC. What in the world would this lowly band be doing on SNL in 1996 when they already faded/crashed from the music scene by 1977?

  • Where's Derek? :(

  • and they're totally lip syncing... the drummer is not even hitting the symbol on the S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT part. Yawn...

  • It's definitely not on SNL. SNL doesn't have tables near the stage.

  • Well it doesn't say SNL anywhere does it?

The song's called Saturday Night and it's performed "live"...

  • love this video, lead singer still good looking, thanks for upload

  • Well mbay 1996 SNL

  • lipsync.. pitiful

  • Is that a young Shawn Hannity singing that song? :)

  • they couldnt play this in 1996 it was 76 other wise damn they would have looked good for thier age

  • Who are they tryin' to fool?

As the great actor and life philosopher said I PITY THE FOOL!

  • this is actually a nice little gem for us Leslie fans..he can lip sync in my bed anytime!

  • when hes done in your bed--send him to mine!! hes still a doll to me!!they all were! sure miss the 70s! :) lonelystreet

  • @neverwhatiwanted ...that funny...trying to find a clip of this song he's NOT lipsync'ing in...what's the scoop??

  • 1 original member.......... the singer.....blah blah.....why still call yourself the original name if out of 5 guys only 1 is in the group???????? yuckk

  • PLAYBACK as ALWAYS

  • They are not even playing, who are these dorks, its not the Bay City Rollers... morons.

  • this video blows skank

  • no, no fuckin' way

  • there not lip syncing

  • This is Les' Bay City Rollers. Great video but I miss seeing Derek's smiling face on the drums.

  • lip synch !!!!!!

  • Awesome !

  • He likes moving a lot

  • Love the 90s their were the new 70s both great

  • Thanks,liaveiro,for correcting it to 1996!

  • you're welcome \o/

  • It's actually 1996.

  • This is NOT 1976 more like 1986. I think this is Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers not the original since I only recognize Les

  • It's actually 1996.

  • Thanks Neil! I think I made a typo... oops! 1996 :-D Long Live the ROLLERS!!!!

  • am ez soha nem 76-os felvétel, ez 95ben volt anno a német RTL-en , megvan videón, csak tudom :D

  • i argee the drummer is good

  • Totally...this is so not 1976 or even near...Les is much older and their outfits aren't even close to what they wore in the 70's...as well as missing the other original band members.

  • i agree m8 ..its 86 to 90 at the earlieast ..seen les 2 years ago at big in falkirk ,what a let down he was pissd forgot all the words ,,still i got a ride from the wife later so not all bad

  • lol! well there ya go :o)

  • yeah they are not the original rollers :( Woody is missing :(

  • and others looks like les is the only 1

  • I agree, this definitely wasn't 1976. I could tell that Les looked a lot different plus the quality was way too good for that era. They probably meant 1986? Weird!

  • Okaaaaaaaay!!??:(

  • I totally agree with all of you, true Bay City Roller Fans cannot be fooled....

  • Not even near 1976 otherwise Eric, Derek and Woody would have been singing along. As for the "live" part, guessing it can't be true either. Love the song, love the Rollers but without the others, never the same for me. Sorry!

  • who is the drummer he is not bad

  • This is NOT 1976,it's actually in the1990's!

  • If this is 1976 then I'm 13 again!!!

    great song though!!!

  • What the hell? Where is Derek? good grief! ah... whatever... well that sucks!

  • In jail for being a pedophile??? Him and tam had issues..which explains recruiting young boys like ian Mitchell and Pat McGlynn. They were very boyish is appearence.

    That still floors me.. but..

  • I don't remember the Rollers being on SNL in the 70s. And it's the wrong drummer for 1976. As far as I remember, their only live appearance on American TV then was on Howard Cossell's show that was trying to be the "new Ed Sullivan Show"

  • Thank You.

  • 1976, wow, had this album, a double flap, before woody left and ian joined,,,,, soo sad how time flys............ GO SCOTS!!!!!!1

  • This is NOT live and NOT 1976. Please get just a few basic things right, will you?

  • more like lip synced in 1996

  • I remember them in the 70's Les looked a lot younger than he does in this video. The others do not look right either. Let's face it, it wasn't live when they did it.

  • What a cool song!

    I still love it.

Oh yea, the memories of some good times.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • this is absolutely brutal.. live my ass...

  • And there is nothing live about this

  • this is not 1976 for sure!!!!!

  • Ok not so matching white outfits.

  • I'm not sure the exact date of this but I saw Les and Ian live in Altanta in 1994. This is Les McKeown's 70's Bay City Rollers. Les and Ian are wearing matching white outfits.

  • I never saw this in 1976, but if this is really 1976, where the heck are Derek, Alan, Woody & Eric?? There's got to be a story here. Always loved them, still do, and it's always nice to see Les! :)

  • Live? - pity the singing wasn't
