Thanks for posting, but I remember seeing this in Christchurch when it first aired and being disgusted that the entire alt-rock scene was ignored in favour of professional nightclub covers acts and their slick promoters. Hell, surely the Axemen, Scorched Earth Policy, No Idea, the Triffids, the Onset-Offset label etc. was more to do with 'Christchurch rock 1984' than a bunch of lounge-bar entertainers who played the sort of slop you could hear in every other meat-market bar in the country.
"No Idea". Yay.., good times with them and "Horizon" playing at the Star&Garter, Gladstone etc., Got the Buzzcocks to look forward to this week (12 Nov)
Thanks Duncster, Great content. I Remember the Marine Tavern every other weekend for Louie & the Hotsticks. (did they even have a short stint at The Aranui?). Seem to remember Chills one night at the Star and Garter. The Wastrels on Durham St (pub)?
Hey. I'm sorry. I was just seeing if the comment thing was working. Alright so in the ver beginning of the vid, there's this great song. It's got the jangly guitar. I think it's beautiful. I was wondering if you knew what the song was called, or if anyone knows the song? Is it the verlaines, or
Matthew Bannister's hidden talent?

I was wondering if it was the verlaines or if you could just tell me the song name. It's been bothering me for like an hour.
