I saw Blackhawk perform this song last summer. After the end of the song, there was the sound of static that came over the speakers. And Henry had said it was Van plugging in his guitar. Any song that Van wrote was very good at conveying emotions. His 80s stuff described a lot of dark emotions very well. And this song captures the emotion of an upcoming death very well.

This song is such a comfort as I think of my best friend and the love of my life who died in a motorcycle accident this past August. He was an amazing person who loved life and everything in it. He was a career Fireman who dedicated his life to helping others. I miss him so much, but as I listen to this song....I know that he wouldn't want us to be sad, but to live, laugh and love. Sad this was the last song that Van stephenson recorded with the band... He had the most powerful voice and after he passed away that band really didn't do a whole lot..
They still do a lot of touring, though. I think that Van knew that his time was near, and that seems so evident to me in this song because of how powerful he and the band made this song.
