how ironic is it . u hear any one who states a comment against muslims and any comment in favor of america in tv papers any where any day . but would u ever hear tony benn ? how many people have ever heard him in so called free tv in their democracy ? wondering what really freedom of speech means to westeners ?

Tony Benn a nice bloke, but very naive. Just like George Galloway he is appeasing to Muslims.

You can argue there were many great war crimes. The genocide of the Kurds by muslim countries like Turkey and Iraq.

Muslims for 1400 years have been invading and colonising right across Africa, Asia, India and people dont seem to regard that as war crimes. Quite Amazing

Thank you Minstral for sharing this. I remember the peace talks between Begin, Sadat and J. Carter. I remember thinking 'Peace in the Middle East'. Wonderful. Israel is nothing more than a terrorist tactic bully, and I would not doubt that they plan further action. There should have been World Intervention. But no..allies..poor Israel...they did deserve a place of their own, but have no right to take it by force from other nations. Why did the US say nothing? Think-Oil.

For all the respect I have for Tony Benn I would have respected him more if he had left the Labour Party and worked as an Independent. Labour's hands are dripping with blood.

It's nice to point the finger at Israel. I'm not condoning their actions, but do find it hypocritical when a Labour politician pinpoints them as evil whilst saying nothing about Mugabe, Rwanda or Darfur.

We've committed and are still are, war crimes. We've taken part in torture of muslim prisoners and thousands of Iraqis have died who would still be alive but for our UK/US illegal war.

Concentrating on Israel is a smokescreen and takes the spotlight away from our own crimes.

Are you generalizing because he is a member of the labor party or is it that you do not like anyone accusing Israel of War Crimes?

As far as War Crimes go, there have been many Crimes committed by many nations in many places. Blame is far reaching and includes Countries like the US, Britain, Russia, China, France, and any country that is actively trying to control something. In THIS Case it is Israel, watch part 2

Massacres in Darfur (still ongoing) and Rwanda - I don't recall Benn or many on YouTube making a fuss. Maybe because Israel were not involved.

The deaths in Gaza are nothing compared to those in Iraq where people are still dying every day because of our refusal to accept we are all guilty of war crimes. The true death total there is hidden by our own governments.

I've no doubt he does, epiphany. However, I would respect him more if he had resigned from the party that supports war in Iraq/Afghanistan and stood as an Independent.

It's like being part of a neighbourhood gang yet saying it's not your problem when they go on the rampage.

Yea, Yolanda, agreed. He is a very honourable man. I've seen him speak on 3 occasions, one of them was the Stop The War march (2 million marched through London), he spoke at Hyde Park.

But what is important find some way to reach ordinery people, engage them more and more.. to put pressure on government for policy change...otherwise less use of all these..

What a great orator and role model. It is comforting to know that men of great quality still sit in the seat of power. Men like Tony Benn and George Galloway are calling to people around the World to stand up for what is right, and I stand with both these great men!

Thank you Sarah. I really LOVE to hear Tony Benn. He is amazing- but this last time i was there filming him- i was very scared- inimaginable- to even consider- imagine a nuclear war! I couldnt sleep after...let HOPE let going to STOP the war! Love and Peace.
