The guy had immense talent in producing accurate impersonations although his act is comedy and in my opinion his writing needed to be better. Don't get me wrong I love this guy, I wanted him to win, although if he wants to be successful on the world stage I believe he needs to work on the comedic aspect and bring in some wittier jokes to go with his almost flawless voices to simply sharpen his already great act.

IMHO - this guy would not go far in the US version. From my (US) perspective & from someone who is a long-time fan/critic of those with this kind of talent, it's seems the Aussie audience & judges are amazed at his talent because his voices are mostly famous American voices which can be very novel, but the space for this kind of talent in the US is extremely crowded & at a higher caliber. I sincerely wish him success but unless he masters his craft more, he won't go far in the "big leagues" :-)

True, the US version must keep room for about 30 unfunny dreadful acts just for the laughs and only 10 or so really good acts. This year's final of Australia got talent talent-level was higher than most previous US versions, (especially this year sucks bigtime). And this is coming from an objective viewer who have seen all shows in both countries. Jack Vingen would have won easily in the States btw. Humor acts have little chance in USA anyway due to the instant-must-be-funny.

@Funkytripz because advertising is so lucrative, show business must use the element of anticipation, mainly why these shows drag on so long & why 30 not-so-talented acts are given the stage. I think the talent-level in Australia is sometimes better than US, but it's all perception (cuz there's a lot of apples to oranges) Jack Vingen is very talented and may have won in the US, but I think that's partially due to the branding power of Justin Bieber (even though he's not another Bieber).
