These guys are two extremely dedicated actors. Watch carefully - there isn't a pulled punch in the whole sequence.

What Bronson does after this is pretty gruesome too... Makes another shiv from the Cops femur, lol. First time I watched this part I was really surprised, didn't expect the cop to get wasted, he was built up as an important character.
