i could easily do a time freeze when the camera is still in all my shots. but this particular one puzzles me, how did he do that time freeze scene with the camera moving on a dolly??? its awesome!

The important detail here is how clever you are to "cheat" and get the effect you want. I cant be sure, but i feel this freeze frame its matchmoved to the main shot, so we "believe" the guy is floating there. There´s only ONE camera there, and our frozen guy is only composited over a tracked camera comp.

great logic, i never thought about it that way... but it really makes sense. however what beats my understanding again is the fact that the character in the frozen frame still gives a sense of being in 3d space, rather than 2d which would be the case for a frozen frame... again please correct me if am wrong on that one.....

hair/earphone cable/legs are the most visible chopped elements. You can separate the subject in layers to put then in diff distances from the camera. The HighBudget way of doing that uses looots of aligned cams. In this shot, planning was essential to minimize flaws. Thats my point of view, of course.
