Hey thanks for your Youtube of the Triple Bypass!!! My husband just started road biking last summer and is hooked!! You can see for yourself, he's the guy in the yellow raincoat that you are trailing for the last 3 minutes of your video - the one who won't let you pass him...we don't have mountains like this in Minnesota.
@fiveriedels You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! That was a great ride. My first. I'd had shoulder surgery not long before, and was only able to return to training 7 weeks before the Triple. Hope to see you there next year! I'd just started training the previous September too, so we're both newbies this year, but not next!
@RoadBikeBird Lol. Yeah. after the Triple Bypass, I definitely appreciate the sores. Am looking to see if chamois butter helps prevent that next time! Yep. downhills are awesome. I love the modulation of my Mavic SSC calipers, too... they let me go far faster with much more control when I have to slow a bit for a sharp curve!
@scottklaw Heh, yeah. It was. I wasn't sure if I could do it, but aside from total exhaustion, (and wishing I had a masseuse), the feeling at the end was fantastic.
@anmoose Thanks. Yeah, I'm pretty happy, especially because of what it really means to me. It means I don't need to be afraid that overexerting will bring back the old health problems. I'm free of that fear. No limits.
very very cool. I'd love to do something like that. I'd have a long way to go though. I used to love bike riding. *note to self* never watch this kind of video when first waking up in the morning and before having that first cup of coffee..
@grandplans LOL! A bit dizzying? The key is to look to where you want to go, not where you are... something I learned from riding horses (jumping). It really didn't take a whole lot of preparation for this. I just really pushed things once I was recovered enough from the surgery, giving me about 7 weeks training prior to this.
@pdutube IT was sleeting coming down Loveland pass. If you look closely, occasionally there are some blurry artifacts on the camera lens... that's the sleet / rain. It was an AWESOME descent, though. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks for watching!
OK the traffic made me nervous. If I'd have known there was that much traffic I would have been MORE worried about you then I was! Those are some tight switchback curves also!
Nice! Thanks for sharing!!

WOW you were really moving! From this video it didn't seem like it rained much but the view of snow means it must have been chilly!
