You're right Draeka but this is the new artist's brush and paint. I'm from a different era where brushes and paints are kings but we have to go with the times. As a professional illustrator, I have to use computer to make them, I don't have a choice. That's life I suppose!!

draeka, who are you to judge what makes a real artist or not? this is just as valid of media as anything else. You need to just stop.

I'm sorry but computer painting never impresses me. I am an artist myself. Yes I do use programs like Photoshop. However, if you want to be a true artist you must learn to do this with a brush. You simply can not build the same character by being able to always correct a mistake with a computer program. Perfection builds character and it can only be obtained by painting the old but professional way.

@Draeka It is true that being able to paint traditionally is important, but had you taken the time to look you would have seen that Nico here paints traditionally as well, and it looks just as good (if not better) as his digital art.

I do digital to and this is what you need.

A Wacom tablet (I use Genius, that's fine to)

A pc with some ram( only if u make painting of few thousand pixels big) and Adobe Photoshop. If you have that all you just need some practice to control the tablet and you will do GREAT things my son! ;)

please understand this video is a time lapse, what took the artist 22+ hours only seems like 4 minutes to us. In order to do one of these u have to zoom in and detail each shadow one by one. but the final result is amazing
