Rust was the major killer of these old Mazdas. My Mom had an 89 MX6 and we got rid of it in 2006, everything worked great even had working A/C but was totally rotten.

@Lukeno52 don't have a week-end to spend on removing the engine, either the place or the tools. thousands of cars goes to the junkyard every day without anyone complaining, what are you guys angry about? if the car is 15 years old or older they don't take the time to remove parts, they ship the car directly to the foundry. what i did was having some fun in the field a day before the junkyard take it.

Removing engine is fast operation.

Our over 20 years old Skoda Rapid was dissasembled to parts in 3 hours.

Asembling it together take one year. :)

Now we have nice classic which looks good as new.

My "new" car is 16 years old Nissan 200SX S13.

This car could serve well to somebody else for few years.
