Another #1 hit for Tammy Wynette on the Country & Western charts. It was the 174th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts.
Saw her and George at a big country music show at the anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, put on by country radio KLAC-570 in the 1970s. They were both good on duets, but her solo songs were fantastic. She left us way too soon.
a steel guitar and Tammy's voice, you can't hardly get any better than that, that steel guitar made Tammy's voice even better although by itself its awesome.
George in my opinion is an idiot. Tammy could have done and deserved better. She went through so much in her life as it is and having George as a man made her life worse with his Alcohol problems. Tammy really deserved better. Oh how I miss her even though I'm 18.
I always loved country music. Tammy opened a much higher dimension of it. I just can't get enough of her.
