this is seriously getting off hand. It's ridiculous!
I can't believe people have the manner to advertise such useless stuff and pay people with good and slim boddies to be a part of the scam.Whats more it will take you years of using this "invention"to burn over 5 kilos
I like how judgmental you folks are. Now take time to think - why do a lot of people not exercise? Because they can't do it correctly the first time. So they give up because they can't be perfect. Then there's people like my mom who are handicapped & can't exercise at all. With her back & knee problems she couldn't even use a Jumpsnap. If I had the extra money I'd get & use this. If it gets a person exercising, is it really that stupid?
@JamiJR Yes. It is stupid. You realize that you could just jump on the spot and flap your arms to get the same effect? But instead you would rather PAY for this? Idiot.
People have hopeless objective when it comes to lose weight, the weight you gain took a certain amount of time so it's only logical you lose weight slowly but surely. Lose weight by doing something you like doing a sport, walk, stairs, jumping on real ropes :P. See if you won't lose weight by the end of the month. Eat less, lose more only simple then that. Crazy commercials giving always the same 30 days objective ridiculous.
lt's great when your rope jumping becomes fluid, when you start feeling the rhythm, timing becomes a matter of an automatism, you may virtually jump with your eyes closed. You know you're burning calories, increasing stamina, doing plyo muscle work, conditioning yourself and developing great coordination skill by slowly learning different jumping patterns.Fluid jumping gives a great feeling of mastering the skill,a jump rope is some enormously beneficial fun.JumpSnap is some hilarious piece of crap.
I would give both my legs to be given 10minutes and a machinegun with infinite ammo, combined with all the goddamn morons that rewarded the fuckers that came up with this shit, by buying it. *BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM* *Looks at calory-counter at side of machinegun..* Oooh this sure is effective! *BLAM BLAM BLAM!*
I love this device. I normally go to the gym 5 days a week, but when I have to put in 70 hrs a week in the office, this helps. (convenient for office) It's a great supplement. I am 5' 7" and 135 lbs. Do what works for you and stop judging people. Sure I could jump up and down but I prefer the calorie counter and if it helps you to get moving then I'm all for it. It's better than doing NOTHING!!
GOOD GOD PEOPLE LEARN TO JUMP... GET A FREAKIN DDR MACHINE OR SOMETHING! GET A PARTNER AND DANCE...
Man I'm going to get a jump rope. A REAL jump rope. If I could afford the stationary stuff I'd do it as I watch my news shows... I actually found this video because a news show was making fun of ithis device and I had to see this crap for myself. LMFAO
The Jumpsnap has got to be one of the most ridiculous exercise equipment ever made. It doesn't help to develop the coordination and footwork that you'd get from an ordinary jump rope. Plus there's no motivation factor to actually jump, that is no cord to whip you in the back if you mess up and no skill involved. So it'll probably be gathering dust in your garage after a few uses. The only people who should get this product are those with two left feet and can't jump to save their life.
longways2JL: so is running outside, but millions of people go to the gym to use a treadmill... so is riding a real bike, but bodybuilders use a stationary bike to do cardio... where's your point ????
The 2 exercises you described (running and cycling) actually require you to be outside covering large distances, which isn't always convenient and possible for many people which is why they resort to stationary bikes and treadmills.
This gimmicky product will, for some time, motivate someone to become active due to the novelty of the equipment, but novelty wears out quick. Total waste of $.
I'd like to see you use this in a gym; the laughs you'd encounter, then you'll see my point.
Longways2JL: I actually do use this in my gym, when I get bored with all my other cardio routines... And at 6'0 235 with 4% body fat 20 inch bi's 30 inch waist and an IFBB pro card .. not too many people laugh at me..
"not too many...", but some are??? Believe me they are laughing (at least in the inside); I'd be if I saw someone using that in a gym, let alone a boxing gym.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. Hope that'll justify your purchase of +$40 piece of trash, when you'd get better results from a $5 jump rope. The next thing you know: a bench press w/o a bar.
But glad I proved my initial case regarding the 2 machines and exercises.
what point who says you have too go long distances, you can run around the block 50x or cycle around it 50x ...better than staring at 4 walls on a treadmill or stationary bike... lol
as a professional athlete.. my rope sessions are grueling 1 hour + have u ever jumped rope for an hour+ (doubt it) the jump snap is used when lactic acid builds up to calf failure then your coordination goes... hence the jump snap.. I can continue past failure w/o worring about the rope... OK... SCHOOLS OUT !!
Jump roping for an hour+?!?! You sure you're a bodybuilder??? Your mindset must be stuck in the 80s when the trend was prolonged, steady-state cardio.
Why would you even be doing that much cardio?! It's counterproductive to anyone's goal of musclebuilding since your body will start to break down your muscle tissue.
Haven't you heard of HIIT or tabata?!?!
Lastly, the Jumpsnap is for elderlies and those w/ 2 left feet, which was the premise of the infommercial.
thats why they call it bodybuilding !!! I have 4% BF for a reason.. I"M A PROFESSIONAL..building muscle and preserving it while burn all the fat you can ... is the game... if it was easy.. everyone would have a pro card... and yes i cycle HIIT and tabata with my hour long sessions (2-3x a month) to keep the body matabolized...and guessing....
I think that America's going to have to cure cancer just to break even for this one.
