You know whats crazy, I know these spiders are native to Australia, but I rememeber when I was in high school in south florida, and we saw a huge ass spider in the dugout, it looked just like this.
I'd love to keep one as a pet, but I'm curious, what do you do if it runs over your shoulder to your back where you can't see it? I'd be a bit afraid of just reaching my hand over to pick it up again and accidentally hurting/frightening/pissing it off.

Just slide your hand around your back and move it slowly. I have done it a few times.

Good sized spider - they might tickle on your face, wait till they shove their fangs into you, then let's see if it tickles.
