  • Tres tres fort !

  • Love it, and your method of getting such a realistic look is something iv never seen before!

  • intense pretty intense but not so intense.

  • Great man, but use Nino Rota's music next time.

  • holy shit youre amazing

  • ?jaja

  • could you teach me!

    this is wonderfull

  • Shitty music for such a wonderful painting. Should have atleast been Italian dinner music.

  • Hehe.. Italian dinner music... Great tune, on the contrary.

  • its very detail!!!

  • great cross hatching methods they work the best

  • You rock...look at my stuff sometime!

  • amazing tecnhique!

  • this is amazing!!

  • this is a great picture! I am stunned by the resemblences between the real one and the picture. Ever thought about making another one of one of his sons?

  • what the hell is wrong with you luanrart your wrong it looks like him

  • Masterpiece!!!

  • a little yellowish-zombie-lookin green aint it? but good!

  • your bad!

  • Are you even capable of forming a sentence?!

  • You suck, Godfather is one of the best movies made, and Marlon Brando did a very good job at being Don Corleone :) And Martin did a very good job at painting him

  • what a weird choice of music! It would only look natural with classic godfather theme. that's the only weak point.

  • i not sure about the big shiny spot on his forehead that you add at the end...if it was a bit fainter im sure atleast i would like it more but even at that it is extremly good

  • amazing, lets see michael

  • proof?

  • This is amazing!

  • The Godfather

  • you are a semigod man

  • don vito corleone

  • you should try doing michael corleone or the terminator

  • you rock at photo shop!!!!!

  • thats a very very interesting technique u got there! but you should try to do the shading yourself, but either way, the result with this style is still great, congrats.

  • Absolutely extraordinary, thanks for sharing!

  • well goddamn child, you've got some talent

  • The great Marlon Brando supported the idea of a jewish state following WWII when he acted in 'A Flag Is Born' but he naively didn't realize the jews would set out to totally dispossess the Palestinians. Brando devoted himself so earnestly to the cause of the American Indians only to watch the slimeball jews do the same thing to Palestinians. Later in life MB came to realize jews for what they are and learned thru his CIA connections that the Holocaust tales were tremendously exaggeratd.

  • Brando was very intelligent but he was politically naive in his youth.

  • I think it's completely unnecessary to say that the Holocaust tales were exaggerated. It's a terrible part of the world's history but we need to remember it's terror in order to ensure something like that doesn't happen again.

  • Believe me that you would become world famous overnight if able to uncover the first piece of credible evidence that even one single person was ever gassed or burned by the Germans during WWII, much less millions of people which is just a diabolical jew hoax that shows the distance to which jews are willing to take organized mendacity. The Red Cross was there at all the camps and officially recorded around 270,00 deaths from starvation and typhus so yes 6 million is an outrageous exaggeration.

  • VBery nice! I like the add layer Gausian blur, add layer...blur technique. Well done!

  • I like how you kept adding sketchy lines and then blurring it to achieve a paintery feel. Ingenious.

  • That is amazing. It is a true tribute to the greatest actor ever lived.

    R.I.P. Marlon Brando

  • RESPECT

  • you can use a digital usb pen also right?

    eaisier than a mouse?

  • yes, i use a wacon Intuos3 A4 graphic tablet and a graphic pen. i wouldn't be able to paint with a mouse ;-)

  • ok figured so

    thanks :]

  • omg ur good at this, and what a nice tribute to one of the best actors ever lived

  • This is amazing! o.o

  • Did u watch a picture while doing this one or did u make it out of your head so to speak?

  • I watch a reference-picture on my second screen. There might be painters, who can do it out of their heads, but not me ;-)

  • Ok. That's very well done by the way.

  • holy shit

  • creo que te falta practica man! jajajajajajajajajajaajaja mentira AWESOMEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome picture but you have a very odd style. that is not a bad thing though. :)

  • what program u use

  • Photoshop CS3 (I think Marlon B. was with PS7)

    Wacom Intuos A4

    AfterEffects 6.5

  • oh, i forgot:

    autoScreenRecorder (Freeware)

  • amazing, keep pumping em out, do you take requests?

  • requests? hehe. no!

no time. since three months i planed to paint a "clint eastwood". but no time.

but: he will come, sometimes, before riding in the sun... ;-)

  • holy shit

  • Nice job man , keep try more it could be better

  • :-)

  • Yoy have to tell me did you just had the picture imagined in your head or did you paint it of from another picture? 5/5 definately good work!

  • i have had a referenz. if you search "marlon Brando" in google-images you will find.

I have two screens: on the left i paint, on the right is the referenz-picture.

    simple - easy - fast :-)

  • hhhhhooooooooooollllllllllyyyyyyyyyy shit! I love this one! this is est speed paint video ever man!

  • nice... godfather is happy... pretty cool mouse clicks, you sure know what u r doing.

  • wow, thats awesome... very impressive

  • very very nice, congratulations, look my videos too.

  • legend

  • amazing.

  • cool i hope i can draw like that someday. im practicing but im not that good yet. is it hard? ive been trying to draw marlon brando but i cant get the facial features right

  • baciamo le mani !!!

(mafioso way to express reverence, literally "kiss your hands". Very great job)

  • :: spoken in gravely voice :: Leme tell ya sumtin kid, The GodFather would be pleased, ^_^

Really, that is GREAT! What program did you use, if you dont mind my asking ? How long did it take ?

If you or others are interested in seeing other Art constructed w\ pic/photo editing software, do a google for " ms paint god", he uses microsoft paint of all things, to create a really cool car, it takes some time to watch the whole video but its good.

  • thanx. i used adobe photoshop. the digital painting itself took about 3 hours.

  • Wow! This is so cool! What a talent.

  • Echt Klasse! Sehr beeindruckend. Wie aus kleinen, unbedeutenden Strichen ein Meisterwerk wird. Weiter so! 5 Sterne

  • also which drawing tablet would you recommend? something for a beginner?

  • i use a wacom intuos a4. but perhaps its too big for beginners. wacom is good, but thats why they cost a lot... you should search on the web.

    Best wishes, martin

  • very impressive. you used a drawing tablet? can those be used with flash and illustrator?

  • yes, you can use wacom tabletts as a normal mouse.

Some programms (eg all adobe) have some more detailed options for the pen.

  • Wow. That was...awsome. ******

  • bravo! Complimenti per la tua abilita

  • nice work..loved the blur you put in earlier. sneaky

  • wow your technique differs a little from others (i mean u add one color and then blur it, and repeat with more details). But still its a proffesional technique and i guess you have some painting education

  • Thanx.

Yes, I have studied Fine Art at University of Arts Berlin. My teacher was Georg Baselitz.

  • Zvuk, where are you from, man?

  • In the future, they will re-create Marlon Brando quicker than it took to (speed) draw his image.

  • amazing work!

    love this one =D

  • you should have used the godfather theme insted of the stupid song

  • holey fin crap, that is really good

  • The fact that you use layers almost brings to me a scientific theory about how skin in certain areas of the body have a sort of transluscent glow, ie if you hold your hand towards the sun, you'd be able to see the red spots being the places where the hand is most shallow, or having no bones, what I mean is, this layers and tracing over seems like a whole new drawing techniuqe, well if you were using a tablet of course, otherwise, you'd just be digitally, artdeviantly defying it

  • bad music, good video = 4 stars!!!

  • i like the music kinda classic

  • süperrrr

    çok güzel videoooo

    veryyy niceeeeeeeeeeee

  • i want your creative side in your brain!

  • haa!!!!

  • hey can i add u on my msn, i would be interested in talking to u about 3d and concept art as i am doing it my self and think your work is really good thanks

  • my msn ? a blog? i think talking to me about 3d is boring, because i never did it ;) i saw your work. really impressive...

  • too bad you didn't play the godfather theme...the mystery would have fit the questions everyone has...

  • you are right. i am sorry. but using the godfather-theme is illegal. in germany we have to pay GEMA for that. this will cost a lot. so i have to use some sound which i found in the youtube-sound-pool.

  • This has got to be one of the most amazing pieces of art I have ever seen. I cannot even fathom this. Is there anywhere I could learn this technique? I dont even understand how it works, but I saw it work right infront of my eyes. Amazing.

  • thanx.

it is no art, but only skill and technique. it is painted after a reference picture. so i only have to look and paint what i see. everybody can learn it. its just a question of discipline. i do it, eg. for more than 20 years.

  • the technique is really simple. one layer draw black and blur, next layer draw white and blur, then a new layer with colors. then same procedure...

every layers has an alpha blend (about 50 %), so you can see all other layers.

as i said, in my eyes it is no art. i will try to paint free paintings, but they are less impressive for tv-watchers ;)

  • no man this is art. It looks exactly like the picture! Im going to try this for my portfolio. If you could, please send me an email with an in depth description of how to do this, my email is thebedtimestory@hotmail. Thanks!

  • great!

  • hay mi madre

  • :O That s the way I see now,thank you very much!From What mark is it?That aftereffects?

  • Yo I like the work could you hook me up with the software?

  • photoshop 7 and wacom a4. video with aftereffects. thnx

  • ;) great job dude, I enjoyed watchin it, keep up the good work :O ;)

  • hehe , gaussian blur is very useful! You used it with perfection. your technique is very good, it should inspire me.. ;-)

  • joe como te lo montas!!!

  • Whoa, all that to get the transparency of the skin, nuthin' but kudos, Dude.

  • I like your technique. :D
