If you have a PC just get ArmA2. I personally think that ArmA2 will beat this on PC but OPF might beat ArmA 2 on the Consoles.

Arma II has an interface that is way too complicated, pretty much all buttons on the keyboard are mapped 3 to 5 times, the game is extremely buggy and the AI is terrible at times, causing you to lose many assignements

i got arma2 it was a big let down, its buggy as hell, the online is laggy as shit and its almost impossible to tell whos on your team and whos not

What, will you be able to literally edit the map totally and...

will the game be jumpy for most PC's if they only have normal stuff (graphics cards, sound cards, RAM etc)?

Yes, there is a map editor for the PC version, but I don´t know if you can edit the whole map. BTW I´m sure you need a good PC to install and play the game. Not a NASA computer, but just a good PC with good specifications. :)

4 GB RAM

NVidia Geforce 9700M GT 512 DDR3 RAM

How good will that setup be for this game if u have any idea?

I think you´ve got a nice laptop with good specifications, but I can´t tell you if it´s good enough, because I don´t know how many gigabytes OF2DR requires. You will have to wait untill the game comes out. (But I think it's good enough.)

yep the map editor of OF2DR is for PC only. I´m not sure why it is, but it will have to do something with the controls, i think.
