I think that you would have benefitted from having someone who knew a bit about the Costume History of Star Trek to talk with Mr. Gunn and be able to bring a perspective to the reasons why certain choices were made regarding the uniforms. I love Tim Gunn's analysis, but instead of a comic historian who can just give his opinion, if you actually had someone who could answer Mr. Gunn when he asked, "Who designed the TMP costumes?" with "It was Bob Fletcher", I'd be more apt to take this seriously

I think the second movie uniforms were a vast improvement over the first film-- I hadn't realized how many styles of boring uniform they had in that one! I did kind of like the grey and white uniform from the motion picture, IF it hadn't been grey. It might have been better had that been the bright blue or red of TOS with the white "panel".

Is it just me or are the skirts longer in the negetive univers than they are in the reguler univers? The middrift may be showing but at lest there is a longer skirt.
