  • Do u wear any armor 2 keep yourself safe in public.

  • How close do you live to Hickam Air Base? I swear I heard a C-5 o a C-17 in the background.

  • i dont know too much about knives but i was looking for somehing i can have for protection and i cant get a gun till im 18. anyone have a suggestion for a knife it has to be small enough to carry without being noticed

  • @95bullseye Cold steel safemaker 1 or 2 nice push dagger. Or any of the other push daggers that they have

  • This would be great, but requires me to be too close. I would recommend a good DZSG for the SHTF scenerio. ZombieTacticalStore(dot)com

  • kratos' knife

  • The only knife that will be good against zombies would be the outcast out of the three you have. I don't think the other two are big enough or have enough blade wheight to be affective.

  • Perfect for reptilians

  • Did they fix the lanyard hole problem

  • Would u recommend this or a 1/4 inch thick 1095

  • @boblyism ...this or "a 1/4 thick 1095" what? Grayman Ground Pounder, West Nile Warrior, etc...

    Get both...

  • Do u know what some of the best knife steels are

  • @boblyism...I'm no expert but, the leading knife-makers are and what they're using in their blades is probably a testiment to that.

S30V: used by Strider, ZT, Chris Reeve, Benchmade, etc...

154CM: used by Emerson, Benchmade, Spyderco, etc...

D2: used in this knife (Kershaw Outcast), Benchmade, REKAT,etc...

These are my favorite steels but, it's not a "Panacea" (cure all)...even 440C, AUS6 or 8 is decent...I' mean this isn't mideval times. A cheap kitchen knife can be used to kill.

  • @boblyism For medium impact chopping, bushcraft, and all around cutting chores edge retention, strength, and toughness are key; for me, INFI and CPM M4 reign supreme here, without much competition. For high impact chopping, toughness and ductility are key, with these steels the heat treat is everything; a properly treated 5160 or CPM 3V are my preference, though a properly treated 1080 or 1090 carbon will suffice. I might also throw INFI into this category, as I'm a Busse nuthugger.

  • Hey do u sell your knives I live oahu

  • @boblyism ...No...negative.

  • I commented over a year ago on this video saying I was moving to oahu, and asked if had a good knife store recommendation. You said Young Guns, and you were right. They had the Civilian I wanted and much more. Thanks JT.

  • @koehlerap1 ...do itashimaste (you're welcome).

  • If you cut a zombie with that... your already dead. Its not the zombie thats the deadly part but its blood containing the virus.

  • zombie killer?

  • what's zombie killer?

  • haha you think about killin zombies too

  • I would not buy that knife. Not full tang. Lanyard hole is not reinforced.

  • Is it full tang?

  • @SBPStudio ...it's been a while since I did this video but, I was under the impression that it was full tang. Did a search 1/2 the sites and other reviews I looked at said full tang. The other 1/2 says it's extends 80-90% into the handle.

Sorry I don't have definitive answer...

  • i juts got mine today i love it, its a beast for chopping.

  • for a zombie rampage pls choose a weapon:

    airsoftgun(1)

    Banana(2)

    Needle(3)

    Pencil(4)

Darth Vaders light saber with upgraded batterys(5)

truck with two miniguns and a flak gun on it (4)

  • do you think a benchmade model 42 balisong is a good zombie killer

  • @rock50003...a little to small and you would have to get real close...imho no.

I just got a ESEE (formerly Rat Cutlery) machete. A swing to the neck would keep them almost (2) arms length away...that would be better.

  • do you think gerber gator is also a good zombie killer?!

  • @sanchezedwin187...10-4...I have one of the original one before they made the modification on the handle (serrations on the top/possibility of hand sliding forward).

Zombie Slayer indeed and inexpensive $19.99 here in Hawaii. But, I just got a high-quality ESEE (Rat Cutlery) machete which would be my choice.

  • Sexy knife gotta buy me one. :)

  • yeah so basicly its a knife...........kwl!

  • One hell of a nice looking blade and the sheath looks top work.

  • where can i buy all 3?

  • @mongo7211 ...check your local gun, knife, and sporting goods stores. Or search the internet...google, eBay, amazon, etc...

But, the Rajah I (Cold Steel mega-folder) is discontinued so it might be harder to find.

  • Look at that sucker... man... thats nice

  • Great Vid! ,\m/

  • I like that knife, reminds me of the one from the movie The Book Of Eli, just because its a similiar shape, and also especially with that name "Outcast" great review, I'll definitely consider this knife.

  • you obviously have alot of money, the last knife is a copy of the Tom Brown tracker knife, you probably bought a replica "The Hunted" knife, and from the reviews the knife of that specific design is not that effective for use

  • @TheRapistRaper ...1st off it is not a copy...it is a Dave Beck design...the knife used in the movie "the Hunted" is a Dave Beck design NOT a Tom Brown Tracker.

Tom Brown was a technical advisor his knife was never in the movie.

This an old drawn out issue...you'll have to do your own research if you really care. Search google and knife forums. Or just go on believing what you believe.

  • I would prefer a FFBM. Just IMO, ;)

  • the fourth knife is a great throwing knife

  • @BenderBullet56 "The fourth" of three knives?

  • THIS is a knife

  • wow! that third knife looks like the one in the movie "the hunted"

  • @icecrimson ...RedScorpionSix "Predator" WSK-it pretty much is...Dave Beck design like the one in the movie.

The one in the movie is a Dave Beck Wilderness Survival Knife (WSK) not a Tom Brown Tracker...there's a BIG difference...just FYI.

  • man you make some of the best knife reviews out there you and nuttinfancy awesome knife by the way

  • Does the Outcast perform well for EDC carry? ..looks good for a trip over to Target and such.

  • @CaptainMacNasty ...well anything can be concealed with a little imagination but, I haven't tried to EDC it.

I have EDC my Rajah I so anythings possible...lol!

  • is it a BIG knive or a small machete?

  • I like the predator wsk

  • hey what do you use to sharpen you're knives

  • I not much of a do-it-yourselfer but, if I need to touch up a blade I use stuff like the Spyderco kit, Smith's PocketPal, other ceramic type sticks depending on the size of the blade.

Something like Cold Steels machetes and kukris (the inexpensive ones) you can just use a bastard file.

But, usually I just take it to a shop and have a professional sharpen my blades.

  • I just got a Spyderco Forester with a 9 3/4 blade. It looks very similar but with a bright blade and green micarta handle. Its a real monster and not going to break the bank. I would have preferred a black blade.

I love a big knife. I used to EDC a 6 inch fixed blade when I was a teenager. Carried it in the small of my back. No one ever noticed it. Only ever got called out for picket knives.

  • Nice knife...always liked those Spyderco Big blades...

  • what the hell is this city boy doing with one of these

  • Well 1st off I'm not a boy I'm an old Man...lol!

    and 2nd preparing for Zombies...lol!

  • ... il give you that haha

  • out there in Hawaii, do the Zombies go for the Spam sushi?

  • They usually get the human heads on special with sides of lomi salmon and lau lau...lol!

  • @HELLZZARMY - Whats the state fish of hawaii?

  • Still a lot. they regulate certain areas to help repopulate the fish.

  • @HELLZZARMY - nah man, did u ever see forgetting sarah marshall? You supposed to go mana laha puka ..yeah bitch! or something like that. lol good movie

  • hey dude after seeing alot of your vids, you should join a militia (atleast i think) well thats if your not already in one. But great vids dude, i love your collection.

  • 10-4...strength in numbers...

  • Kukri anyone? =]

  • 'Sup bro? Hey, talking abut them big ass knives and zombie killers, Do you happen to own one of those Cold Steel Trailmasters?

Cuz that'll be a hell of a zombie killah.

Take care... zombies ar out for the kill.

  • No I don't...it is a nice knife.

One knife I an going to get is a Fitzen Tank...spoke to John Fitzen about getting one.

  • Whats the price quote of that? I just [icked up a cold steel oso. I think its a perfect knife for any situation.... including ZOMBIES!!!

  • I got it off eBay for about $57.00 back in March...

  • i normally hate rubber handles, but on a big chopping knife like that its gotta be great for absorbing impact.

D2 is good, I would have liked to see something a little softer for a chopping knife, D2 can be brittle, especially at low temperatures (it is a wilderness knife) Damn good knife for the price though

  • 10-4...

  • lol nice video but zomvies dont exist and will never nice videos btw

  • They are OUT THERE FOR YOU... WATCH OUT! Be prepared.

If you don't believe it could happen to YOU, play "Left for Dead 2".

  • JT your a good lad,

    from uk

Got to have options, love it

  • thanks Mate...

  • that d2 is nice my brother

  • Hey JT!

first of very nice channel man and nice videos as well ...

but I have a question, what's up with the zombies?

  • thanks....I'm no expert but, the Solanum virus that creates a zombie, along with details on how it is spread (such as through an open wound, when coming in contact with infected blood or saliva), and treatment of the infected (suicide or amputation).

  • Dark Zombies (supernatural)

The dead are reanimated with dark magic usually from some source of evil. These zombies usually crawl out from their graves and destroy any life that they come in contact with.

  • Energy Zombies (supernatural)

Some form of energy other than magic such as space dust, dimensional forces, hair spray exposed to comet radiation, ect. causes dead tissue to come alive again.

  • Immortality Zombies (supernatural)

This is the case of some kind of magic curse, spell or potion enchanting a living person to become immortal. The person cannot die of normal means. It takes the physical appearance of a living corpse unable die even if it wanted to, in other words loosing free will.

  • Ailment "Plague" Zombies (supernatural)

These zombies usually originate from some kind of supernatural disease or ailment. A bite or scratch from a zombie can lead to death. Upon death the corpse reawakens as a zombie with a craving to feed on and kill other beings.

  • Mummified Zombies (supernatural)

Many ancient cultures mummified their dead, usually some kind of spell or curse was placed on the body to become reanimated under certain conditions.

  • Parasitic Zombies (biological)

A parasite may it be alien or native could infect a host human and cause dramatic changes in behavior. This has already been discovered in other species including snails and rats. In extraordinary situations a parasite could completely take over the host body causing zombie-like personality changes.

  • Radioactive Zombies (biological)

Radiation has numerous effects on biological tissue such as causing brain damage, deformations, or even mutations of DNA. This could result in zombification depending on what effect the radiation has on the organism.

  • Most of the zombies thought of are the lesser zombies, these zombies like the definition above resort to primitive cognitive functions, and have a lack of free will. Some zombies exist as greater zombies, which have higher consciousness and intelligence, and sometimes regain their free will. Other lesser zombies have potential to evolve, become altered, mutate, or are engineered to become greater zombies.

  • hey, JT thanks for this BIG ASS answer!! lol!!

I just order mine hope to received it soon :-) thanks again and keep rocking

    best regard from france

  • lol!

  • Hey JT how close do you live to HNL Airport Sounds like the plane going to ram your house lol never heard it in any of your other vids

  • 30 miles...but this is an island so where I live is sometimes in the flight path of some commercial airliners and military planes...

  • that can go on you boot so you can carry more guns ^^

  • do rely blilevin zombies cues i do

  • I hope the infected dont get that close to you. awesome knife. Bidding on one now.

  • Cool...

  • i was looking for this but the store didnt got it so a got a gerber machete

  • is it legal to carry a five-five seven in your country and in what state is it ilegal tocarry

  • Are you refering to The Five-Seven (marketed as "Five-seveN") is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FNH). Its name is derived from the unique ammunition it uses, and the company's initials "FN".

FN created the new 5.7x28mm cartridge for its FN P90 personal defense weapon to meet NATO requirements released in 2000. Subsequently, FN created the Five-Seven pistol as a side arm using the same cartridge.

  • It's legal the only things that wouldn't be legal is the 20 round mag(some States have 10 round limits) and armor-peircing ammo...

with respect dude you could do your own research...this information is available on the internet.

  • Only NJ, NY, MA, and CA wouldn't allow a 20 round mag. MD's mag limit is exactly 20. The rest of the country allows you to carry a 200 round drum mag if you felt like it lol.

  • you must have missed some...Hawaii has a 10 round mag limit...

  • I was aware of that, but I forgot lol.

  • machete is my favourite

  • the 0nly knife i really like is this

  • yeah I really like this one too...I plan on buying at least one more.

  • When you cut off a zombies head...you don´t worrie about their blood and contamination!?

And if you become a zombie!? i´ll will shit in my pants if i cross a zombie like you! with all that knifes and glocks and gear!!

and just one more thing, nice video man!

    OSU!

  • According to the CDC..."Unbroken skin is a good barrier to prevent direct contact with the SOLANUM Virus. The ZOMBIE virus cannot get through unbroken skin".

Now if you're bitten, or it gets in your eye or mouth...that's another story.

For further info refer to the "Zombie survival Guide"...lol!

  • Just remember that cutting off a zombie head does not eliminate the threat. A head rolling around on the floor can still bite you. You MUST destroy the brain. When using knives like this, do not aim for the neck. Aim for the skull.

  • A "tang" is the protrusion of the steel into the handle of a knife or tool.

The knife tang can be either full tang, meaning that it extends into the full length of the handle, or partial tang, extending only part way into the handle as a socket or file end.

The tang extension into the handle not only provides a way of attaching the handle, but improves the weight and balance of the knife, and adds strength and durability.

  • how thick is the blade?

  • 1/5" or .2" Which IMO is pretty beefy, but not overly so. Then again it is $80 and for $20 you can get a machete that is just as good, if not better in some ways. Then again the outcast is sick.

  • I wonder what kind of tang does it have? I know it can't be a full tang, I think probably a rat tail tang?

  • Didn't realize it wasn't in the specs...some sites don't address it and the rest says full tang. I tend to think full tang it's very well made....

  • The outcast is one of the best looking knives imo but the steel choice had me worried. I bought a Becker BK9 instead.

How are you liking the Coldsteel Rajah I?

  • I Iike D2 steel...carry a Benchmade 710 D2 SBK.

A couple months back I was EDCing the Rajah I...haven't been carrying it since. I think it's a great knife. check my video on it...in the side-bar is a link to Kinfetest1 he does some intesnse testing on the Rajah II.

  • D2 is too brittle for such a big knife

  • D2: An air-hardened tool steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and excellent mileage in wear resistance. A good choice for hard use applications...Benchmade Knife Company

  • I just gota say, i love all your videos!

I was also wondering if you've ever used or seen a Gerber LMF II? i was just wonderin if u had an opinion on it, thanks :)

  • Sure seen it at Sports Authority...you can get a good price on eBay or Amazon...for the knife/sheath or the whole A.S.E.K. system.

No haven't used one yet...but I feel Gerber is a quality knife maker. I have their old guardian, mark I, and Mark II somewhere. Been meaning to get the new Mark II after seeing an article in a knife or gun magazine...OSU!!!(KARATE EXPRESSION)

  • Thanks! Im probably gona get mine at cabelas, i know its probably over priced but i just got a $50 gift card so its like half off!

  • Hey JT, I am moving to Pearl Harbor in August. I have been meaning for a long time to get a Spyderco Civilian, can you tell me if you know of any place near there where I might find one? Of course I'm not familiar with Oahu, so you may've never been there, but if you have any recommendations, they would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    -Koehler

  • Young Guns in Mapunapuna is near Pearl Harbor...Just check the phone book for the address...type it in google maps if you need directions.

  • I will thank you.

  • Yeah....there ya go, nice knife! lol

  • thanks...

  • Love that! another tool for the toolbox, good excuse to buy more knives, haha, I heard good things about the outcast, if and when you need to use it you can reply on it, nice purchase!
