Like most other things in the bible, what it says about death is contradictory. Some believe in soul- sleep, some that we live on. 1 Samuel 28:15 is the clincher, we live on. This agrees with those who have had NDEs, and with psychics who contact those in the beyond.

John 5:29, 29 says they will come back and go to heaven? What bible says that? most bible say resurrection to life. means here on earth.
