Michael Jordan is the greatest to ever play and Kobe Bryant is right there in the same category. I'm a fan of both players and have been fortunate enough to watch both of their careers. It's hard to compare the two because they never really played against each other while both being in their prime. I just think that MJ did so much more in less time. Especially when it came playoff time. He is the standard by which basketball excellence is measured.

The FG% thing is played out... as the game has evolved the 3 point shot has become more prevalent. Which lowers your FG%. If you look at TS% MJ=.569 KB= .556 So if you look at that Jordan has the edge, but not by the ridiculous amount most claim. Also, coming out of highschool skews Kobe's stats Jordan spent 3 years at North Carolina refining his game where Kobe spent those 3 years in the NBA learning the game. Not saying Kobe is better, but its closer than most think.

I don't think Kobe is better than MJ. Kobe looks like he is getting old fast. He's 32 and looks like it is very difficult for him to get his shot off. At 32 Jordan I believe Just finished a 3peat and was retiring to play baseball. I think it is also going to be really hard for the lakers to win the title this year, Kobe in my opinion just looks old and all the years of playing in the NBA are getting to him. I truly believe if he didn't have a jump shot he would be an average player right now.

The ONLY thing kobe's better at is consistently missing more shots. And "getting out of hard situations" is where he comes up short when compared to MJ.
MJ was MUCH BETTER than kobe at creating BETTER shots for himself due to SUPERIOR athleticism, not to mention he moved better w/o the ball. Credit his formal training at UNC for that. Kobe's TOO SLOW to shake off defenders like MJ did, and they can't even hand-check now..
That's WHY he settles for & jacks up SO MANY contested 3's..

This has played a HUGE part in why MJ's FG%'s were CONSISTENTLY much better than kobe's, and is WHY kobe's FG% PEAKED at almost 10% LOWER than MJ's.
There's NOTHING offensively that kobe does that MJ couldn't & didn't do more efficiently (save for reg season 3-pt shooting), but there's MUCH MJ could do offensively that kobe CAN'T, because he was MORE physically gifted & had BIGGER hands.
Kobe's just a LESS efficient-dominant-consistent, poor man's copy of the 2nd 3-peat MJ

Not to mention, it is one thing to create shots for yourself which kobe still does. But making shots that shouldn't be made at all in a consistent and relentless fashion is another, And it blows me away again and again. This isnt about comparing how they play. Phil said MJ would average 45 under these rules. Its a hell of a lot easier to get to the basket today. There is no handcheckin of defensive 3 second rule. I know D's play zone now...but that's a weak excuse...Its not like MJ never saw a double or tiple team...

The FG% thing is played out... as the game has evolved the 3 point shot has become more prevalent. Which lowers your FG%. If you look at TS% MJ=.569 KB= .556 So if you look at that Jordan has the edge, but not by the ridiculous amount most claim. Also, coming out of highschool skews Kobe's stats Jordan spent 3 years at North Carolina refining his game where Kobe spent those 3 years in the NBA learning the game. Not saying Kobe is better, but its closer than most think.

It's not his fault he goes to the rack better than Kobe...just as it's not Mj's fault Kobe came straight outta high school....When you're talking a whole career...a few percentage points make all the difference. Kobe will soon pass MJ in missed shots...while he will still be a few slots behind on him on the all time scoring record...this stat is pretty telling.

Well taking more 3's you're bound to miss more shots. If Kobe were to go 4-12 from 3 and Jordan 6-12 from 2..... Then as far as efficiency they both scored 12 points on 12 shots, but one shot .333 and the other .500. Also, I'm just saying that Kobe coming out of highschool lowers his per game averages, but in return raises his career totals so It's hard to compare because MJ will have better averages, but Kobe will surpass MJ in just about every career stat.

my teacher told me there is a video...where koby called out jordan....just pretty much smashing on jordan....and that jordan heard it so he made a video to koby saying....everything that i accomplished i worked my ass of for it....and just pretty much just shutted down koby....but i cant find it
