However it happened, distribution picked it up, and yes... It's very rare. The questions surrounding it were created by the fact that it was unintentionally released. I put together a mix with it that I played live on NYE, 99-Y2K. I tried to take care of it in terms of what it is and its value as a rarity. If anyone is interested you can download the mix here:

At the time, as I understood it then, the US was getting 20 copies of the white label, of which Satellite Records, NYC got 10 of them. That's what the operations manager told me, so I can't confirm it... I got one, however... The story then was a friend of theirs (Hybrid's) ganked a copy of their DAT recording that they'd done for the purpose of their live shows - not for release - and had a small batch pressed in London... Don't know if that's true or not...

@rainmaker6920 This does sound convincing by the fact that this is not the way a remix is conceived or released at this level, i.e. Alanis and Hybrid... I'd tend to believe the story I was told. Just be glad it got out there somehow. Nobody made money, in fact it ended up costing whomever it was that had the thing pressed to white label... Satellite Records, with their 10 copies made less than $50. In the eyes of Maverick and Alanis... Who f-ing cares? It's an anomoly really.

we have the Cd of jagged little pill. It's a good song its just a shame u cant find it anywhere. The track 13 is the song its on. There is a big gap from another song on the Cd that got repeated. Even though on the case it says it doesn't have a track 13 there is! Its so annoying how u cant find it. Even though there is a long pause it is on there! Hope this helps. Alanis released "uninvited" which was one of her biggest hits to the Freemasons, so its not that she is against remixes.

This song could be too raw for someone to trivialise the emotion of the song, by messing with it. Do you ever wonder why it wasnt released as a single?

I checked it, and it turns out that Maverick record company owns the rights to the melody of the track "Your House" since it was originally released as an a-capella. So Alanis dind't have much to do with the decision to forbid this release.

Hybrid-the kings of progressive breaks! They consistantly prove that at times, you dont need to neccessarly evolve your sound. However, what is needed is to maintain "quality" and not jump on the bandwagon of the next big sound. I just hope they never sell out. Their latest album is masterpiece of not just electronic music but music in general. I have no favorite Hybrid remixws. I enjoy all their remixes equaly and I'm always proud as a progressive DJ to play their tracks!

The mix is kicks an awesome beat and is great for about the first 2/3rds but when the strings come in on the Forgive Me section it just takes it to a whole other level.

It's almost a whole other song but still part of the original track.
