We've had perfect synch between audio and video for about 80 years. I think there's gonna be a generation of kids who grow up not knowing the joy of this. I can't enjoy this nearly as much. Is it a youtube problem?
I remember my mom telling me how funny YSOS was, and it was long before my time. I didn't see this skit until about five years ago online. I almost HURT myself I was laughing so hard!
I am still holding my side, IT HURTS!!! I saw this the night it aired. My brother and i were rolling on the floor. My mother wanted to know what was wrong with us.
Wow, it's hard to believe that a show like that is as old as it is. Sid Caesar is absolutely genius, and Howie Morris is almost incomparable as Uncle Goopy. I just laughed and cried. The Humor is just brilliant.
OMG! I first saw this sketch 10 years ago and I thought it was the funniest things I ever saw. Well it's 10 years later I'm still howling with laughter. Comedy like this certainly does stand the test of time! I absolutely love Howard Morris! Uncle Goopy and Ernest T. among many other very funny characters. Sid, Howie, Louie Nye, and Carl Reiner. These men are comic geniuses and to think they did this live! Great Stuff! Thanks for posting...and now it's on to the "3 Haircuts".
It's too bad most people just remember Howard Morris from the Andy Griffith show; he was a true comic genius. This was one of the funniest sketches in TV history.
they don't write this great material any more.

This is a great episode but I dont want to watch it with the sound out of sync. It ruins the whole thing.

This was b-4 my time (born in '71) but, the first time I saw it I was in tears laughing. The so-called comedians of today just don't have it.

Hilarious! I had forgotten that the great Louis Nye was also in this. Hi-ho, Steverino!

I've been waiting for someone to post this classic. It might have been the funniest sketch of 1950s-era TV.
