Jim is paid market value for an extremely coveted and specialized skill, namely coaching basketball at an elite level. "snaky" guys include calipari, who blatantly cheats and bolts before he can take accountability. and as far as making comments goes, calhoun said "the buck stops with me", taking blame for the minor violations.
