I just now took the time to watch the majority of this girl's other videos and beg to differ. She does in fact seem quite happy and seems to love singing. I also learned that the makeup is far from typical and in fact seems more situational. I do however admit that if this had been the only video I watched I may have also passed too quick a judgment.

Performers ALWAYS wear makeup regardless of their age or sex. You have to or else the stage lights wash out your face. How about you go take your ignorant pedophobic prejudices somewhere else and leave the kids alone.

Sometimes folks don't realize that with lights and all a performer can look "washed-out" - makeup helps to prevent that. Also, if the performer is at a distance (e.g. on stage) the washed-out effect can be even more pronounced. The makeup here is pretty minimal anyway. Not a big deal.

Watch her Amazing Grace video and you'll see the difference a venue makes....in church it was a simple dress, no makeup, etc. This look is exactly what the judges wanted in Las Vegas.

does anyone here have any concept of show business??  Remember that this is a competition and in show business, appearance and presentation play nearly as big a part as talent.. Although I agree with sawsmith and broadwaybabies on the makeup thing. First of all, that particular shade doesn't look any better on her than a light pink would have.

I have known of Jackie for maybe almost a year now and she certainly is a unique talent. I don't know any other child singers that does what she does. Amazing for her age, but I agree with the earlier comment; please less make up. A little is OK, but I like your more natural look in most of your videos. Good job Jackie. Hope you win!
