  • i can see why the dyno run was at dicounted price cuz there dyno disounted your whp numbers.they bullshited you.. when i bought and dynoed @ bisimoto my 2001 gsr w/ 18k on it i had 157 whp with stock airbox and filter . i would get a second run some where else and pay the regular rates and hopefully the got a dynapach dyno those are the most accurate dyno that ive seen. not trying to dog you bro just giving you a secound opinion i know for sure your numbers a beter than theres good luck

  • @mobilesuitsteve03 I can't believe this video is still getting people all worked up. I haven't owned this car for 3 years now. Anyways, these runs were done on all original ignition parts along with an oem air filter that was clogged. That will produce low numbers. The 2nd run proved that fact.

  • My old 94 GSR 4dr made 155.7hp to the wheels. Short ram intake, comptech header, apexi ws catback and a carsound hf cat.

  • @oshl4 with stock type r cams my gsr produced its peak power at 7900 rpm and held it pass 8k,,im building a b18ls N/A that will have a power band higher than that,, top end along with power to weight is how i build my cars, just saying with 4 cylinders nothing touches a properly built honda

  • Something is off here! I dynoed my stock JDM Type R at 176whp & 138tq. And it wasn't a crazy difference between my GSR to say it made 60 whp more. I think the ducks their screwed something up!

  • Hey guys one of my boy did a 168 on a b16a2 in a ek9 and my was a integra gsr 96 stock with chip ecu and when we race I take him like 2 car by the end of 4gear does that mean I'm pushing 175?

    y6 because thats not a motor theres a z6, y5,y7,y7 and as much as i love my hondas you wont get 500whp from a stock anything not even if you boost you can hit mid to high 300's, so its best not to lie especially when you have no videos

  • @KungPao916 ,,,it was done on a low reading dyno, newer also..put it this way the guy has tuned 150 +cars,,he is, daves tuning alternatives,,to show his dyno reads low,,his stock h22 daily dynoed 180 whp on his old dyno,,he upgraded the tb,,and retuned it on his new dyno and made 171 whp,,dont quote me exactly but it just shows his dyno is NOT a high reading dyno,,point is ,he is a good tuner and MY engine had FULL bolt-ons,,im looking for that dyno sheet,,but im not bs'in,nothings impossible:)

  • then please tell me why a stock integra Gsr comes with 140hp NOT whp and probably puts down around 130whp or a little less and if you dont believe I'm sure you could read your car manual or something, I had a Gsr with 240 all around compression, i/h/e/custom test pipe, Type R cams retainers and springs and I dynoed around 165whp i also shifted around 8700rpms. and the guy who tuned my car is amazing at tuning and yes you might make around 160hp on i/h/e but NOT WHP

  • Gsr's put 170 to the crank, so my numbers to the wheels were solid.

  • @grilledcheese33 not bad. my JDM B18C (non ITR, mine is the SiR, aka "JDM GSR") my stock motor put down 151whp and 113ft-lbs tq. Well, I have basic bolt ons, I/H/E, but its basically stock. No internal work, yet. Soon, though. I haven't looked through any of your other vids, but did you ever do anything else with this car?

  • @imcnblu I put a lot of stuff on it. I had just bought it when this vid was taken. I did a full tune up and all new fluids, coilovers, rear sway bar, wheels, and intake/exhaust. I then sold it and moved to different cars haha.

  • my stock gsr made 162 whp i need to chip my ecu in my civic i dont have a peak power yet so im curious how much i get out of it since i just got done chipping it and putting a skunk 2 intake manifold on it yesterday. im hoping to get 185 on stock motor.

  • Im gonna go ahead and say the first run was either major dyno error or your car needed a serious tune up.

  • Option 2, she was in need of a serious tune-up. It was 100% original down to the air filter. Ran MUCH better after I tuned it up.

  • 1st #'s sucked but 2nds where ok. Probably needed a little tune up. Should adjust valves, redo timing may make a big difference.

  • You should read below. On this dyno run the car was 100% oem. It had the original air filter, plugs, wires, e.t.c. e.t.c. I bet if I ran it now that i've changed out all that, it would put down better, solid #'s.

  • a healthy gsr should be getting 145-155whp stock but i seem um get as much as 160whp stock

  • As I said below, these pulls were done with 74K miles and the car being all original. Meaning orig. plugs/wires/cap/rotor/fuel filter, and even air filter. Thats why the #'s changed so much with removal of the filter. The car has since had all that replaced and she runs like a champ. I bet it would put down 150 now.

  • What are you smoking? The GSR has 170 to the crank so getting 140 down to the wheels is good in my eyes. My gsr has 74K and 240 compression in each cylinder. Only thing is it was having a bit of a misfire issue being the plugs/wires were orginal at the time of the video. I had my plugs/wires/cap/rotor/fuel filter on order when the car was dyno'd. I'd be curious to see what it has now being it runs much better with the tune up. And watch the vid again cause you must be deaf of you don't hear vtec

  • If What you said is true" My gsr has 74K and 240 compression in each cylinder", then either something is wrong with the dyno or your engine really isn't that good. Maybe when you got your compression test someone added a little oil in each cylinder first. A unhealthy GSR should be at least 145whp. My stock JDM GSR engine put down 168whp and 127 ftlbs tq. and my compression in each cylinder was only 185psi. Good Luck.

  • Once again, please read below before posting! The car wasn't running perfect that day. Oh and I did the test myself, no oil was poured down the cylinders.
