hey that was a pretty good cover, i need to figure out the runs, but other than that its actually not that hard of a song, but good cover. I agree with some others though, the tone is rather muddy. Assuming that those are standard gauge strings, you good probably clean it up by not tuning down your E to a C etc, and instead just tune the B up to C etc, creates a better sound IMO

Dude you make great covers! i've been intending to buy a bass but have put off on it. Seeing you has basically given me the push to buy one. now i need to find a good starter bass. any ideas? btw you should cover buried by the dead-bloodbath. its a pretty kickass song.

At first, big thanks. For a good starter bass I recommend some Warwick Rockbass. They're not so expensive, but high quality and they have a rough sound.

Not to discredit VanTempest in his suggestion but Rockbass' aren't the cheapest bass and for a beginner I would honestly suggest an Ibanez SR300. They are solid basses for $300. You can get cheaper, you can get more expensive but they are decent. Just try out several from different makers and see what suits you.

@CanibisCorpse: yes, that's true, they're not the cheapest, but most of the time: If you buy cheap, you buy expensive, you know what I mean? And by the way, most Ibanez Basses have a very flat sound ... ^_^

I don't think they sound flat, the SR506 is very full and great sounding. To each his own but for a beginner, it's really whatever. Stock Ibanez pickups are really nothing special but Bartolini's are great.
