@splicersunite chillis are oil based, fats absorb the capsaicin, dairy products are the way forward. Best to avoid any other liquid like beer or water as oils don't take well to them, just ask BP!

Milk, bread, orange/apple juice, sugar are just temporary remedies. what works for me to get rid of pepper taste is to run hot water over your tongue for about 30 secs-1 min and then eat plain yogurt. Just sayin from experience cuz I'm indian and my mom used to use those peppers in different curries before my grandma got a stomach ulcer.
