I support anyone who has a positive outlook in life and who is doing something positive for the community whether that is the gay community or not. I love you guys and keep up the good work. --KIMMY!
I was just watching this. I love the conversation. I just wanted to share my personal account of friends who have been together. Two of my friends were together for over 30 years from their twenties to their 50's.
Why don't you show masculine gay black men? It seems like the images you depict for gay black men are primarily stereotypical - Clowny - Sissy - Silly - Flamboyant types.
@greatbydesign33 3LWTV focuses on showing different images of gay black men &if you look at the entire body of work you will see this diversity. I'm not sure what "masculune" looks like to you, but if you or some1 you know wants to step up and express that voice, let's do it! Far too often we receive these type of comments from people who complain, but never take advantage of the opportunity to be the voice they want to see. So until more step up, they're just part of the problem.
lets be real who would really watch a show about postive black men that are doing good things....we all wanna see the entertainment..the cattyness...thts just what it is....thats tv.....but i dont let that dictate how i run my life nor should you...
@johnnydoll Totally agree with u I am a positive masculine gay black man that's 30 y/o and have been with the same guy for 4 years and we live in ATLANTA also people don't find my life exiciting they want to see guys that are FEM, messy, and SINGLE that are out here having sex with every walking man on earth that's what people want to see so we can't say that the gay black image on TV is negative " THEY DON't REPRESENT ME" nor my partner. We are all individulas.
This interview was fun and enlightening. It is great to see them as a group gelling so well with their distinct personalities and views. I wish them major success.
Lonnel Williams do better in seeking guest for your show. I like watching your videos but this foolishness could have been put in your not need to show box.
I can tell these guys don't have a education outside of a highschool diploma and some credits. I feel thier views on marriage and what is marrriage is saddening. They were right about the grass is green theory but from looking at this video I can tell they haven't mastered that theology themselves.
@richboy88 by the way, IF you are going to JUDGE people about their allegedly poor education, make sure that you use correct grammar and spelling in your assessments about the "less fortunate" because your comment becomes the butt of all comments. #noshade
lonnel I love your show, you know i do. but this in almost every way show the negative hang-ups we have in our community. we have our flaws yes, but to have a young black gay men say "gay people don’t get married for a reason" was a racial slap in the face. I know we as gay black men don’t have a lot of positive influences, but we need to set our own heights in life. Maybe more relationship bounded guest would be better to interview..idk
@mactv101 Thank you for the great comment! I totally respect your passion! However, we have to keep in mind that not everyone believes in marriage. Certainly the comment may seem like a slap in the face, but its important to know that all of us don't share the same views on matrimony. Not to worry, I have upcoming videos on relationships where you should hear comments more in line with your opinions. I'm just so honored that you support the show and let the kids have it when you don't agree!
if you are going to talk publicly and you are gay, you should support gay marriage even if you don't want to do it yourself, because we are trying to get equal rights. It's not about your superficial, impatient feelings. It's people talking like this that further slows rights for gay people. They don't see the full picture.
@9:11 i was very offended. I'm sorry but the days of men and women having money or security are OVER. i have always said that gay men and money are like oil and water they simply do not mix. Marriage is 50/50! Money can do a lot of things but it will not make you just make you concieted and VAIN AS HELL!!!
This definitely was an interview chocked full of jewels. Wonderful interview and Nickie J said at 22:06 "it boils down to commonality. I like to take care of myself, that involves maintaining my weight, CLEARLY you don't like to do that so we don't have anything in common" #DEAD!!!
Great episode as always Lonnell. Okay, someone needs to educate me on the difference between a "fanatic" and a "stance or stand". I'm a ride of die Janet Jackson fan who has and always will defend her. My own family wont' say anything remotely negative about her in my presence...........;o).
THANKS LONNELL for stating the truth during the no fat/no fem discussion about everyone is equal no matter fat or fem, U are a true light in the community and thanks for spreading knowledge.
- Nicky Jai too damn fine ! I qot da biqqest crush on himm !
