to those who hate the jazz section, i couldn't agree with you more. It keeps him from suffering hyperventilation. like when you people (me included) sing it in your cars and lose your voice!
What the hell is the "jazz" section to you? This isn't jazz whatsoever!! this is coming from a jazz musician! Please review the two definitions of rock fusion and jazz.
@pokpuck uh .. what are you talking about ? Those are the lyrics .. just use google and look it up .. it's nt too difficult .. even you can figure it out
They were just here in Puerto Rico (dec 11, 2007) and they sounded FUCKING GREAT. Memory lane is EXACTLY what I was looking for and I surely got it, guys. You expected new songs? I welcomed the nuances they put into the songs. GREAT show, I tell you and I'm not about to change my mind. Peace.
caught them in miami july 10, flew up to boston to see them on my birthday 7-29 with friends that live in boston. then traveled to NY to see them at madison square garden with my brother who flew up from miami, saw them again in nov in boston. and I LIVE IN MIAMI! I LOVE THEM! I WILL SEE THEM ANYWHERE ANYTIME!
dude. the slow down at "mother chants..." is a musical timing change, not just a vocal change. that depends much more on stuart beat than stings voice. plus I think the song sounds great! andys tone is very true to their original sound. the song is 25 years old and they are not machines.... think about it!!!
I could just cry...Sting doesn't know how to sing this song anymore. :( He always wants to put some kind of lame jazz or blues sound to it. It's like that's all he wants to sing these days. He's so disconnected now from who he was then. Somebody needs to remind him of how he was when he was Gordon Sumner and make him get his edge back.
I'm beginning to agree with you Giovani22. Especially how he sings the line "mother chants her litany of boredom and frustration..." so slow and low key. It didn't even sound like the same song anymore. I like Sting, but it is like this is just a trip down memory lane...he's not the same and he forgot what The Police sound like.
Nowhere near as good as the original synchronicity by yui makino :(

@kittiesproject "Nowhere near as good as the original synchronicity by yui makino"
RE
I like Synchronicity II better than the original Synchronicity by The Police
(1983 watch?v=LXWu1wPgrQ4 )
But I like the original studio release of Sync II ( watch?v=UbQd3jxth5k )better than this live version here. More angsty.

At around 1:02 it sounds like Sting is saying "Rice Krispies".
CurlyMcAfro 3 years ago
yeah, that is what he is saying .... that is the lyric ... "we have to shout above the din of our Rice Crispies"
