@g0thman It's modern rock, the emphasis isn't on meaning behind the song. Compositional structure (as well as more basic chords, but this depends on the band), catchiness, and what I like to call a "sing-a-long" quality seem to be respected now.

I like how I can come back to this music and appreciate it, even after hearing decisively better and challenging music, it still feels like it's on the level of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, & Jane's Addiction cause it brings up some memories.
