Hi, Nice work, Thank you for this lessons. Interestingly this words are not the most difficult to pronunce by a brazilian student due to its latin origin. For me, it is much more difficult to pronunce words with many consonants like wrinkles, budget, theather, think, through, etc.
Yes but some students get tripped up by words that look familiar to them, so be cognizant of the different pronunciation. Actually budget and theater (viz-a-vis Greek) are also of Latin origin, while words not of Latin origin such as 'is' are probably easy for you, so it's not really about the origin.

When you're speaking very slowly for emphasis, you pronounce it how it is written. In normal speech it's derly, because it is easier.
