  • Thank you, I learned a lot and appreciate your skills!

  • Exciting, innovative and creative.Thank you so much for showing us that we need not be rigid when we define and create art.

  • Pouring isnt painting? Tell that to JACKSON POLLOCK, MORRIS LOUIS, HELEN FRANKENTHALER, SAM GILLIAM,LYNDA BENGLIS, KATHARINA GROSSE, and a whole multitude of 20th and 21st Century artists that I don't have time to list.

  • @GildaSnowden u tell em Gilda!

  • pouring is NOT painting!

  • @Mauikite Shows how dumb you are. Only comment if you have a IQ above a gnat.

  • Gilda, I just love your videos. You need to build yourself a camera-hat so you can keep both hands free. ;-)

  • Teeheeheee! "I'm getting old...*pause*...er." Love it!

  • you said that what you were doing to that painting was still a base coat? what else did you do to that painting?

  • aw i love that painting

  • Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

  • I am mixing acrylic mediums with the tempera; I dont use it by itself because it does crack if its put on in any thickness. If I want to keep the matte surface, I use a matte acrylic medium.

  • Love it! I need a tool like that. I've been painting on unstretched canvas on the floor and then stretching it after it's finished. It tends to take a toll on my back and knees after not too long.

What kind of paint are you using? I saw some student tempera. I've always had trouble with that stuff...it tends to crack on me.

  • This is SO FUNNY Gilda. Just minutes before watching this video, I was thinking about going to Home Depot to buy dropcloths to put all over my living room. I am working on so much stuff, I am spilling out of my studio. I am going to cover all my furniture in my house so I have more art space. Seeing this covered table made me laugh. Can't wait to see this painting when it's done! :-)

  • I was working on it last night because I want to resolve it quickly, also, so I can start another the same size. While I was working there was some tapping at my window...when I went to investigate whoever was making the noise was gone. I went home....it gets creepy around there at night. First floor studio spaces can be dicey......there are lots of homeless around in the area. I didnt have to deal with this when I was on the third floor.

  • I bet! That is one thing I don't miss about Detroit. It can be creepy and dicey! St. Petersburg is boring, but at least it is calm, quiet, and relatively safe. Nobody bothers me here. However, there are times when a tap on the window would be welcome company! LOL LOL

  • thanks for sharing!

  • I'm just sorry that I had to stick the camera in that pile while I readjusted the canvas!

  • cool, the red going into the green with the blue behind looks fab.
