  • Hey sweetie :( I'm from south-america. I have the same phobia since ten years old...it's a nightmare. I can't even go out sometimes :/ PLEASE WE SHOULD BE STRONG...we're gonna be fine. (Sorry for my bad english...) Smile...and huge hugs for you

  • Hey fellow Emetophobes! My name is Craig and I too have emetophobia. I'm trying to set up a Facebook goup called "Emetophobes United" look me up and let's get talking and healing through talking, sharing stories and tips, and generally supporting one another

  • we should make a support group on fb for all of us.

i had a extreme panic attack last night because i thought i was going to throw up.

i had practiced in my head for what i was going to do and how calm i was going to be but that went out the window!! I keep telling myself i gotta get over this otherwise i will never live a normal life!! i hate it so much.

i really need help! i no its all in my mind. ive had if for 11 years!!!

    thanks

  • I have this fear since I was 8 and now I'm almost 19. It's been a extremely hard decade because of it and it constantly affects me. I used to love travelling, eating outside and so on. But since I became an emetophobic everything changed and now it's hard for me to be happy. But I'm not giving up, we're not alone in this world :-)

  • What about the people who don't get it? When people say something about vomit, they'll say, "Cover your ears." No, I don't mind hearing the word, it is when my health class all got into details about the last time they vomited. 7 years for me! :/

  • i love titanic song playin in the bsckground haha

  • 17here , emtephobia and anxiety for years. Your video was very nice, and made me not feel alone, thank you very much.

  • I'm 18 yrs old and have emetophobia since i was 6 and been made fun of too.

  • I suffer by emetophobia and to all emetophobiacs...we must be strong!

  • @Homik111 Agreed! (: hope you're doing well!

  • You can cure it or make it more controllable :) its all about mind over matter because it's a mental thing. If you can try and stop bad thoughts such as your going to vomit from entering your mind in the first place it becomes a lot more manageable but takes a lot of work!! A few tricks are to take deep breaths ,think about something else and just say to yourself "I'm over this" whenever you feel nauseated. Hahah this is a really long weird comment but just want to let people know :)

  • @sopphiiee90210 I've been trying to calm down more and tell myself it's all in my head, but it's so hard to do while freaking out! haha :)

  • I dont think its a phobia. i think its just cause its gross... and who liked vomiting anyways...

  • love the background song... titanic! haha. god bless, hope you conquer this fear!

  • @goswitzerland517 I know, I love titanic, so excited for the 3d movie coming out!! And, thank you, you too! :)

  • I honestly think Emetophobia is just a fear of catching the illness that they have (The person vomiting).

  • I have emet too, but i have at the moment in recovery (not feeling sick alllll the time) but dont always last long! xx

  • @annababyxXx oh that's good your'e in recovery, hope it's going well for you! :)

  • Cont. I can't take any medications because I'm scared a side effect could result in making me nauseous. The worst is perhaps the bite wings at the dentist every 6 months. I'm so afraid I might gag I've avoided getting them for the past three years. I am 15 and I haven't vomited in 8 years and only twice total. It's a scary phobia to deal with, but I have accepted it as a part of my life and I use the alternatives I am forced to think up as pluses that make my life unique.

  • @vtbrigeywidgey that's great you're accepting it and living life around it! :)

  • I am traumatized of vomiting. My parents tell me to get over it. Friends just say they don't like to vomit either. Neither group seems to get that this is an irrational disease and it is quite powerful. I don't fly because I'm scared of being trapped in space where people might get motion sickness. I once took the train 1800 miles to avoid flying. I can't have kids because I'm scared of morning sickness. I sniff and inspect every piece of food I cook, and I use a thermometer for meats. See next

  • @vtbrigeywidgey i understand :( i HATE flying too. it makes me so jumpy, i still force myself to do it though but it is very very scary for me. Luckily i've never been on a plane with someone who is sick, but still. I hope you're doing well, keep fighting

  • 5 years ago when i was in year 2 at primary school i sat next to this kid who was sick a lot and he was sick next to me and it went on my school dress and just froze and the teacher took me out of the room and made me change into my pe kit and now the kid goes to my secondary school but hes not in my form at least and hes not sick that much now though wish i didnt have so many phobias and stuff >:( ):<

  • @Bomberdrummer Yeah, phobias are definitely not fun at all, I'm sorry that that happened to you :(

  • @123456789032135 Same with me. I sometimes get so scared I break down crying. That actually happened to me today and I hate it cause sometimes my family just gets mad at me. Like if we're out and I'm feeling panicky they just get mad at me.

    P.S. I'm 15

  • @ultimatedbzgtdbfan I can definitely relate. Whenever someone in the table next to us kept repeatedly coughing, or something else that scared me, I completely freaked out and whatnot. It's so hard for people who don't have this phobia to understand. If i were you I would just try to explain the phobia more to them and focus on that it isn't your fault and it's just your natural instinct reaction to the subject. I hope you're doing well!

  • @EmetophobiaStruggler Thnx. I have been doing good, despite this phobia. Yeah, my family tries to understand, but ughh, they can be such hotheads. lol. And how have u been doing with the phobia? :)

  • @ultimatedbzgtdbfan At least they try though, it's better than nothing! :D and I've been doing pretty good, thanks, although I feel that I'm getting even more paranoid and jumpy recently. But I'm still living my life and stuff though so its not too bad :)

  • @EmetophobiaStruggler Yeah. And that's good glad to hear were both doing alright =)

  • This is dumb, how many people vomit? I have seen someone throw up in over 7 years

  • i am only 15...

  • Even as a baby and i would cry and apoligize everytime as if i had done something wrong. I am just terrified, i flip out and plug my ears and stop breathing sometimes, gaging noises and really hard coughs scare me too. I really hope i "grow" out of this before i get older.

  • @pigpie12496 I'm 16, so I really hope I at least get better, because I don't think it's going away for me. My dream in life is to have children and stuff, and it is going to be so much harder with emetophobia! I hope you get better though! Goodluck, don't give up hope

  • i havent thrown up since i was 6 because i am deathly afraid of it.Seeing it, hearing it, smelling it.My parents and my friends make fun of me because of it sometimes. My parents think that if it because when i was younger everytime my best friend came over to my house she threw up, i was thrown up on by her and i witnessed a kid getting sick and was suck in the same room with them for an entire night. When i was younger my mom said i threw up only 10 to 15 times growing up.

  • I know what it is. I got it. It's a godforsaken, damned thing. Sorry you have it. Much love

  • @NimrodYellow013 I couldn't agree more. Thanks, I'm sorry you have it too. keep fighting :)

  • I hate this STUPID phobia.. its ruling my life literally. anytime someone vomits i think i am gonna catch it always. I just don't know what to do.

  • @PeaceLoveSing15 I'm sorry, it really is terrible. I hope you all the best that you'll get better. hang in there and don't give up! :)

  • I am 19. I first noticed that I was afriad of throwing up when I was 13 years old. It use to be just normal to me. I can remember throwing up and not really thinking to much of it. But somewhere along the line I became so afraid of doing it and seeing others throw up.For me...its both. I want kids but I may just adopt because I dont want to get morning sickness. I really wish I didnt have to deal with this. Its really not fun...at all

  • @musicproducer16 I want kids as well, that's really great you want to adopt! You can do it! :)

  • what is up with the Titanic Music?? that would make anybody Puke

  • Thanks for the upload. Dont apologize for the quality. It's fine :) Greetings all the way from denmark :)

  • @otrixx Thank you so much! glad you liked it :)

  • i cant go to school..........when im in public and my stomach feels fine im fine but when its upset i have a severe panic attack. HELP

  • @nate18871 I'm sorry that's terrible :( you CAN overcome it though, just don't give up, keep fighting

  • heeey ^_^! this video is really good. ive been struggling with emetophobia for as long as i can remember, and im 16 now. i stopped going to school and i no longer go out, its taken over my life.. feel free to add me ^_^ xx

  • @95natster Oh wow, I was going through and replying to everybody and was like "wait..that username sounds super familiar...XD" anyway, that's so sad that it has gotten that bad for you :( i hope things are starting to get better

  • My family makes fun of me by making gaging noises

  • @mightybfool mine does toooo it suckssss :/

  • @mightybfool Awww.. Poor you..

  • @mightybfool I'm so sorry :( I've had friends that do that to me too, it's terrible

  • @mightybfool same with my family..

They think its 'all in my head', which it is, but it just wont go away..

    Hope your doing better!

  • I hate having emetophobia

  • @mightybfool ditto.

  • I have the same thing

  • well, i guess someone with the phobia wont like me, my stomach is pretty bad and i throw up from tiem to time, kinda sucks. still this phobia sounds fucked up, i used to have a phobia for crowds. but eve i got over it and have performed on stage a few times, so out to all the people wiht this phobia, you can beat it! don`t you worry!

    Peace, Love and Empathy!

    -Roy

  • @RoyLikesKMFDM Thanks Roy! That's great you got over your fear of crowds! :)

  • funny because ive got my daughter home from school today because she was vomiting, its going around at her school. i think she does have this because anything gross will cause her to want to vomit especially vomit or the thought of it. funny thing is im sitting here and came across this by accident. but i think this is a very common condition but some of us get over it when we are young and others dont. anyway, just get in a dry, cool, comfortable place with no noise or stress and relax.

  • @realdad32 I wish it were just a stage that I could "grow out of". I used to think that it was, however, through my research on the internet, I've unfortunately found that there's just as many older people as younger people. Thank you though, hope your daughter is doing well! :)

  • aww your soo pretty! just stay positive! remember its all in your head

  • @RENNE1ROBERTS Thank you so much! :) and I know, i just need to keep telling myself that, haha :D

  • it's ruining my life :( i hate it

  • i hate being called a "baby " because of my emetophobia.

  • i have the same fear, and it ruins my life..ive struggeled with it my entire life. :( nobody understands me though...regardless of how hard i try explaining it, they DONT & probably never will. i dont know ANYONE that is as bad as me with it :(

  • @tRiiXiiExxX0Oo Hey, i have been struggling with it for 7 years im 16 and it ruins my life completely! check out my videos i explain what happens to me, i know how you feel and i HATE it soo much no one understands but just know i do understand (:

  • @tRiiXiiExxX0Oo Yeah, people can never be really understanding unless they actually have emetophobia, hopefully friends will try to be sympathetic. I really enjoy having a blog, that way i can meet more people that truly do understand :)

  • @tRiiXiiExxX0Oo It is very hard for people that don't have it to truly understand it, they just can't. There are many people with emetophobia though, you're definitely not alone, don't forget that! Hope you're doing well

  • I have the emetophobia where I only fear other people being sick. It's a terrible thing to live with, but there are a lot of others out there. Nice video. :)

  • @muse31188 Thanks! i hope you're doing well recently :)

  • I've had It since I was 8. I'm 14 now. It really is no fun. But I also haven't vomited since I was 10. Strange isn't it. :/

  • @EmmaTedeschi

i got it when i was 10 now i'm 35.. sucks.. i pray that we will all overcome it soon

  • @EmmaTedeschi thats cuz you over think it.

  • I hear ya :( i hav it too..its no fun

  • @123Oreoz4u agreed :(

  • @EmetophobiaStruggler Yeah, I haven't thrown up since I was 12. (I'm 14 now) My fear has definetly declined since when I was 12. I'm fine pigging out on food at home, but I hate eating in public wether it be at restaurants or school. I usually suffer little panic attacks at school after lunch because I fear that I'll throw up. & also at restaurants. I hate amusements parks. HATE THEM. & I hate winter season because of the flu. (and winter season is coming up) :(

  • Isn't the song "My Heart Will Go On"?

  • @NaKeishaRaychel The tune is definitely "My Heart Will Go On" but I think it was done by a different artist, or just called a different name, not sure why. On my CD it's The Portrait. :)
