  • Comment removed

  • The Navy does many things.......its just not Surface Force (Ships) The Navy does it all. believe me. its an amazing branch of the service and they don't talk Shit either........they just go and do it without bragging......thats what I like about the Navy............JUST DO IT.

  • that's Nike, that's not Navy. :P

    Happy New Year.

  • understood, but I was integrating that trademark by Nike into the mission of the Navy........

  • Er, back to talking about the video... although a little heavy on the humanitarian relief side, I love the angle and manning the rails shot of the Nimitz at the end (great power projection image). Yes, the Navy helps a lot of ppl, but let's not forget it's primary purpose.

Thanks for the service guys! *EW final ship out 1994*

  • CTM shipping out 2009/12/11

  • AE shipping out 20100519

  • MA shipping out 20100714

  • AM shipping out 20100223

  • IS shipping out 20090804

  • A bit misleading... the navy, although it supports many different missions, is not a humanitarian organization and these clips represent an infinitesmall number of sailors who do operations like this. The navy doesn't protect the country by building houses for people in other countries. There are more sailors on the ground in the middle east fighting than there are on ships at sea. Just something to keep in mind for the people who might think their job in the navy will be like this video.

  • not really, there are 5000 plus people on each carrier, hundreds on each destroyer, cruiser, sub, frigate, ambibious. there arent very many sailors on the ground, hence the term sailors. there are plenty of seals seabees and EOD on the ground, but not THAT many

  • Not quite true. It is quite common for a ship to conduct a community service project or two while on a port call overseas. Though there are sailors assigned to bases in Iraq and Afghanistan (whether it is a P-3 or Prowler squadron, IA\GSA billet, SEALs, or something else) there are more sailors at sea than in Iraq and Afghanistan. (think 6000 sailorsper CSG times 5 CSGs at sea plus the ESGs at sea as well plus various subs and surface ships not in strike groups.

  • How is this misleading? Based on what??? As far as I see it , displays different manifestations of the Navy on various aspects and missions. Its not incorporating some hidden message. It is what it is.

  • @pseudokinetics Misleading? During my 6 years tour on Active Duty, I've seen many sailors volunteered for community services to whatever local community they're serving in. True, the Navy isn't a humanitarian organization, but that doesn't mean it does not do so or its member does not get involve.

  • @pseudokinetics true! lol......so very true ! good observation !!!

  • freedoms mighty defender across the Globe.

  • Accelerate, get to the finish line faster! ;)

  • 34-0.. thats all i need to say 34-0

  • Hooyah!

  • man every time i watch dis it jus makes me want to join the Navy even more. but im jus a junior in high school. Go Navy!

  • It's the same with me! We're almost there!

  • yup i cant wait. hopefully i wont end up in the marines though. im thinking bout either going to the marines or navy.

  • im with u men, all i want is to join and i still cant, till then GO NAVY!!!

  • does anyone know where we can download this version of the song?

  • Sounds like the armegeddon(movie) theme in the beginning.

  • I remember when they showed this on TV, I would always turn the volume up to max just for the music.

    This commercial is so epic!

  • Go Navy! I love the music.

  • Can you be a US Marine and apply for the seals? Or do you need to start as a Navy to apply for the seals? The seals are they only for the navy?

  • Morrink they are called U.S. Navy SEALS for a reason.

  • Talk to a SEAL motivator...

    1 - 888 - USN - SEAL

  • Senior year this year than I'm off to be a MA! WOOT! GO NAVY!

  • Go Navy! Beat Army!

  • Every body love every body. We all are fighting for the same reasons.

  • I just cried because of this video.

  • I love how Marines are the ones infront of the ship!

  • the marines and the navy work very closely with each other if you look at the marines they fall under the department of the navy they share the same academy and alot of the same schools for the enlisted and officers plus navy chaplains and hospital coprsmen deploy with the marines with out one there could not be another.

  • I know, a lot of my friends are Marines. Sadly though the Navy is getting a bad rep since a lot of people in recent years join the Navy beause it has the least chance of going to combat and they get the same benifits. A friend of mine said and I quote when I told him I was gonna be a marine "Well I joined the Navy because I value my life" Really lost a lot of respect for him that day.

  • You just said you lost respect for your friend, not the Navy. That'd be like me saying all Marines are stupid because I once saw one Marine wait in line for 10 minutes for something he didn't need to wait for (which I did see). Once you actually are apart of the service, then you can start the smack talk between services. But remember, regardless of what we say about each other, we're all still brothers and sisters in arms. And yes, I am in the Navy.

  • Oh yeah I still respect most people in the service I'm just saying there are those people who join that I don't respect because they join the military for a free meal ticket and not because they wanna serve their country. These are the same people that go AWOL when the shit hits the fan and are proud of the fact that they did.

  • Finaly, someone that agrees with me. I'm all about a bigger stronger military, but we need REAL soldiers/sailors/flyers/marines. Not these clowns that think the military is a joke. I'm going navy because I love the idea of being a MA and I actually hope I get IA'd with the Army in Baghdad or something. I would give my life right now for the american dream.

  • Well the messeage I'm trying to get through is when you join the military you should expect that you will be required to fight. I mean they don't train you how to handle weapons just cuz its cool. I'm sick and tired of hearing people wanting to join the Air Force,Navy and Coast Guard because its the branches that are least likley to go into combat. I mean its the fucking military what the hell do you expect they did?!

  • I understand man, and thanks for saying it. TY for serving too :P

  • just shut the fuck up poolie.

  • I am happy to see someone also shares a view I've believed. Are you in the USMC?

  • Not yet no, I was gonna join up right out of high school but the family and girlfriend all ganged up on me during this dinner we had and made me promise to at least finish college and if I was still interested in the USMC then I'd join.

Basically they though by sending me to college I would lose interest in the USMC since most of them are liberals and really don't have that much respect for the military.

They were wrong haha hoorah! Counting the days till 2010 when I will get to join.

  • the sooner the better

    ;)

it will help u with college if u were in the navy

  • why not go reserves? you get to be a marine and go to college. have you checked out any military schools? i promise you that if they have a good program, your motivation will go through the roof.

  • Hell ya i was in this One.

  • US Navy SEALs..........HOOYAH!

  • Can anyone tell me where I can find the other new US Navy commercial? Titled "waves" it starts out underwater, and it talks about the Tsunami that hit Southeast Asia, december 2004. When the camara emerges, a swarm of helicopters with supplies is headed towards the shore. The commercial ends with: "Soon after, it delivered something else" Please help me find this Commercial/Ad!!

  • We added the :30 sec spot to our channel. Enjoy! ;)

  • What's the song in this ad, it sounds so inspiring!

  • @UnitedStatesNavy Hey iam sorry to bother you but do you know what kinda song their playing in this video?

if you know can you tell me?

  • about time we got some decent recruiting commercials like this. the seals footprints on the beach one is great too

  • This video fucking rocks.

  • what does "OORAH"actually sort of mean. i know its some kind of enthusiastic response but is any more to it? PS couldnt agree more with ur comment chewyshoey

  • hoorah is a war cry

  • it means "Yes sir" or "I will do whats told me to do"

  • The army, navy or whatever is no walk in the park it's not fun like in this video... well i guess it can be at times but some people have to realize that this is a "JOB" and you just don't go into Iraq with theme music. I'm not downing the army or anything but people need to get a realistic picture of what the army or navy will be like.

  • yeah no shit. Airborne school was fun but pushing a broom 3 hours a day was some bullshit.

  • theyre trying to recruit people. shh. :)

  • lol @ karatemaster64 hehe

  • GO NAVY SEALs

  • OORAH

  • yea Navy

  • hey im in this video cool

  • This is definitely my favorite Navy recruiting commercial of all time. I'm in Navy ROTC right now and this just got me more pumped about the Navy than watching a bunch of SEALS or Hornets ever could. GO NAVY!

  • WORLDS FINEST NAVY

  • hope to enlist next year

  • Love it!

  • amazing as always. these videos really show the true image of US NAVY

  • amazing

  • This propaganda is very good :) I was thinking about joining NAVY, does anyone can tell me is it possible if I am not an USA citizen? I'm from Poland.

  • Are you living in the US?

  • No, I'm living in Poland, but I was thinking of moving to USA when I will end studying.

  • They have programs set up so foriengers can jion but you have to go for citezen ship as soon as you are eligable.

  • just if he wants to be an officer, he can be enlisted as a foreigner..., and as far as I know during war times, like iraq and afghanistan are, you don't have to wait the normal 4 years (can't remember if it was four or more...) to become US Citizen, although you do have to be "active" and not in "reserve"... good luck with it revann :)

  • go to navy dot com and search for citizen. Your answer is there :) Good luck!

  • You might have seen the :60 sec. cut on TV... here is the :90 sec. version. ;) Enjoy
