@lawsonjoh yeah it shows you can see the beautiful smooth lines through the track and that nice tire squeal that says I'm giving all I've got but your not pushing too hard
@ariell92 I honestly don't see the point in having a backseat in the GT-R, lol. Have you seen the inside of the GT-R irl? It's so tiny, no one can really fit in it.
But I'm also talking about previous GT-Rs like the R34, they're still pretty heavy. I had a G35, it's no GT-R.. but still a car made by Nissan, I thought it was pretty heavy. Same with the 350Z, I have a Evo X GSR now, much lighter and handles better. ;)
But maintenance on a GT-R is near 10k, depending how often you drive it. And it costs near 6 digits, I don't think they'd care if they ended up paying a little extra.
Btw, Canada doesn't have property tax on cars, right? Idk, I only know people in Ontario. Lol
@RiseAgainstTheSystem I think there was a R32 GT-R in Ontario going for 10k, a blue one. I think it's easier to own JDM cars in Canada. US is always so uptight and anal about everything, lol. It probably costs at least 5k or more to import a car, paying for taxes, import fee's?, getting a custom VIN, idk. I haven't looked into it much. Lol
Btw, ON, Canada's sales tax is redic! I think it was like 16%, right? Lol
i never have to worry about emissions tests or anything because my brother does the tests professionally so he just passes me no matter what lol
its not that hard to get them imported, i know a guy who bought a R-33 GTR right hand drive, 6 speed, 6 cyl twin turbo AWD the whole shibang for 8000 from japan and all he had to do was go to the DMV and pay the sales taxes and put it in his name
but yea the sales taxes just got boosted from 13% to 15%
@RiseAgainstTheSystem Only way I can not deal with emissions is if I get a OBD1 car. Been thinking about getting a S13 Hatchback once I finish working on my Evo X. For now, my goal's to get 450WHP/400ft-lb atleast on the Evo. Currently have 380WHP w/ stock turbo and injectors. ;)
No idea about getting a R33 GT-R, but I can probably find a RB25 engine for $2,500 w/ uncut wires around in my area. Drop it in my S13 hatch, lol. Just a dream for now.
Pretty sure this car was the fastest of all the cars doing this test. And I don't care what anyone sais, 480hp is 480hp. Just cause it's AWD doesn't mean anyone can drive it. I hate when people call this car a pussy cause it's actually a BEAST!!!!
@Lambo6fo Unfortunately no, the fastest time that day was a Mazda Speed Miata. While the GTR is fast, but it was just too heavy for a course with this much transition. The car managed to place 17 raw time out of 122 cars. Not too bad for a car in stock run-flats.
Dang, that car is heavy.

I love the GTR when I have more cash I will buy one, Your run looks very smooth, usually a sign of a good driver.

Nissan GT-Rs are just way too heavy. They need to shave some weight and make bigger brakes, they make great engines though.
JSlShow 1 year ago
@JSlShow Brakes are just fine. Weight yes, but in stock form, the car is still truely amazing.

@JSlShow its heavy cause its got too much luxury inside, a decent boot, back sits and its all wheel drive. or else it would weight about 1.5 ton

@JSlShow actually belive it or not
if you have back seats it brings down your insurance
i live in canada and if you have 4-5 seater coupe its cheaper then a 2 seater coupe

@RiseAgainstTheSystem If you look at it that way, sure. :)

@Lambo6fo Technically it might not be. Each car is hand made, and each one possibly having a different horsepower ;)
