  • I shot a barrel full of snow out of the 75mm pack howitzer at NGCSU with a parade round as a cadet...sadly The tennis ball idea didn't work as well.

  • sounds to me like this was filmed in hackney!!

  • Is he in Libya? Because of those shooting sounds.

  • it was probably a hell of a time getting the license thanks to the ATF but just out of curiosity what license did you need to get to own one of these badboys

  • @evoldevildogs, License is not the term. The National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968 restrict sales, transfers and ownership through taxation and bans. Anything larger than 50 caliber is a "Destructive Device" and requires a $200 tax payment. So far, we can still make or buy destructive devices- just submit to the ATF background checks, pay the tax, submit your photo and fingerprints. Be the first to have a towed 155 on your block. Please bring it to the Big Sandy shoot.

  • @rob762x51 dude your a pretty cool guy and thanks for giving me the information to buy one of these beauties. Ive been interested in artillery and big guns for a while now and am even enlisting in the marines to become a cannon crew member or cannoneer as sometimes referred to and are looking forward to working on the M-777 a gorgeous work of art

  • @rob762x51 and by the way where did you perches your gun? and correct me if im wrong but doesn't the government take out the breach and weld a bar in the barrel when the piece is imported to America? so it cant be fired also is the video based in Arizona or new Mexico?

  • Great to see it fire!,the three inch shell that had been turned down didnt seem very concentric the point of the shell was off to one side in relation to the main body of the shell.

  • 1 hotwizer rule : U can never shoot same point twice!!!

  • it sounds like a war in the backround xD

  • Do you just fire at an empty hillside?

  • @equitably, no, there are 3 inch plate steel gongs out there. They ring out when you hit them. The smaller artillery like the 37mm Bofors try to penetrate the plate.

  • what a crappy round

  • I would mod that Howitzer with a longer barrel and a Homemade Flash Powder filled projectile.

  • Oh man, imagine owning 1 of those and being able to fire it,i think these foreigners the US govt. is bringing in to control all you gun owners are going to have their hands full, especially when they come up against a few good ol' boys with howitzers hehehe. good luck America, times are getting dangerous

  • I would like to be at a shooting range when the zombie apocalypse started

  • What do you use as a primer? I am having difficulty getting mine method down -

See my 75 in Action - "75MM Goes Big Boom"

    Thanks

  • Where do you get the brass? Do you machine it yourself? I'd really be interested in making this sort of stuff eventually.

  • @TrollSturm, I can't find the groups at this time. I don't collect artillery. While at the Phoenix SAR show each year, there are a few vendors who have a large collection of large brass. If you're luck and it's a match, great, but if not, these are then modified (turned down) to fit your anti-tank gun or whatever. Projectiles are the same thing, usually used, recovered training slugs, or you make your own on a lathe. Most reload the same 5 cases over and over as a display.

  • Too bad we don't have anything like this in Australia :(

  • @TheFirearmEnthusiast lol come to the USA our Counterpart, you are most welcome here in America, you will be able to shoot anything you want and own almost anything you want :)

  • Very nice!

  • just slow and easy with some war going on on the background XD

  • nice background music huh

  • This is great for home defense

  • Have it sittin at your front door at night LOL

  • @pizzafrenzyman

And good for killing crows. Please dont ask.

  • they have one of those in the 12th marines chow hall on camp hansen

  • Wow, its like a war zone over there. Must be really fun!

  • u never saw weed dumbass right?

  • Are the rounds explosive?

And would an RPG fit under the destructive device catagorey or are they just plainly illegal?

And what about grenades?? Would each one have to be registered as a destructive device?? $200 tax stamp plus the cost of the grenade would be a good reason that I've never seen them.

Sweet gun, I'd love to get one some day, hopefully laws won't change and I'll be able to. =)

  • They're probably just solid metal. Explosive/HE rounds would require a $200.00 tax per round.

RPG are legal as DDs, but the rounds would be $200.00 each unless a non-explosive round was developed. Same scoop on grenades.

You and I both, my friend. I've already got a 57mm RCR and an 82mm Russian mortar, but I really want a 75mm pack.

  • u bought them?

  • What do you chaps make off old barack obama?

  • We are not happy and expect the crunch anytime. Make ready your older American 1960's heavy duty, 4x4 vehicles, study your field medicine, amass your weapons, demolitions and private property and get ready to hunker down. The great unwashed are festering.

  • What do you chaps make off old barack obama?

    "We are not amused."

  • @loooodoooog you english ?

  • @GrizzPaul British yes.

  • @loooodoooog boy that took you 8 months to answer lol. Barack Obama I hate, any president that disrespects the founding fathers, and disrespects the the law of the land ( Constitution) should be impeached.

  • wow man that was really cool to see you load your own ammo!

  • i would have thought it needs to be crimped like an ordinary bullet for the higher pressures

  • where do they have these shoots?....i really would like to attend

  • The footage from this shoot was taken in Northern Arizona about 60 miles from Flagstaff. It was part of the now defunct Dry Creek machine-gun shoot. The producers of that now run M.G. SHOOTERS LLC and they put on the Big Sandy Shoot, held near Wikieup, AZ. For more info check mgshooters on the web.

  • If the desert southwest is on the other side of the country for you, there will probably be a shoot somewhere within 500 miles of you. The most well known is "Knob Creek" just south of Louisville Kentucky. Check machinegunshoot on the web for them.

  • ahhaa u retard, most people know that the germans produse better weapons than USA, the Leopard 2 ownes ur pathetic abrahams, and why do u think the USA imports MP5? its not american idiot

  • I like many German weapons. My side arm is a USP and my main battle rifle is the G3. As nice as the G3 is, I really like the M14 better. On yet another hand, the G3 will not break, but my M14 has more of a chance. Back and forth we go. No need to be derogatory. There's room for advancement with all weaponry. Who likes the PKM?

  • yes yes we've heard that before... Most people know american men have better dicks than you krauts. That's why the world flocks to america and not germany!

  • @snoox895 your right, WW2 they had everything better than us, but we were able to manufacture 4 times more than the Nazi Germans did, so it was a matter of quantity vs quality :) Quantity won out this time :)

  • Who wants to mess with USA? You see? For all the terrorist out there and USA haters...pay attention to this video. USA citizens have better weapons that what you have back at home and we have them at home...so think it twice before you touch our land.

  • i want one!

  • Pack 75s are for show! What a POS! The 81mm mortar is a bigger MOFO! I noticed that you put the powder in and added the Charge 1 from a 105mm to get the "boom" up. Anything below 105mm is a waste of time. The old Sherman was a 76mm. It couldn't do anything vs the German 88mm. Our 81mm mortars were more dangerous, not to mention the half-track 105mm SP guns. The M1 Abrams tanks use the 120mm with DU shells.

  • The shoot is a recreational target event. There is room for all types of artillery and each is unique and historic. What a hoot to see or fire the 75mm pack or anything larger. Why don't you show up to the shoot with your Abrams and give us a demo! Or if anyone has a towed 155, that would be cool too! Oh, wait, maybe a 16" deck gun.

  • I admire your knowledge but my comment was meant as a joke. anyway you are very lucky I envy you!

  • Acknowledged. Shoot is open to the public. Next shoot is in October.

  • that guy must be made of money man!

  • pipe bombs and machine guns are destructive devices but no biggie you can buy a 75mm pack howitzer!

  • The term "destructive devices" is used to describe rifles and arms larger than 50 caliber. Since most machine-guns on the NFA registry are 30 caliber, these would not be destructive devices, technically. However, the 75mm Pack is. Prices are not that bad, but they are not cheap either. You can still make and register DD's.

  • For bigger and better friends from New Mexico brought out a 90mm gun in 2006 and nailed a 55 gal drum of Tannerite. There is a collection clips with the 90mm on YouTube, search for "T8 90mm Anti-Tank Gun" and watch. I think he's still got it for sale. armamentsales . com
