  • Edward Integrity voice evac..

  • It sounds a lot friendlier than the Simplex message.

  • WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey I had this same exact fire alarm at my old school but it was red and it made a different sound

  • I think this is a multi Candela Strobe. I dont think my old middle school has multi candela. More likely 110 Candela only as my high school had 100 Candela only strobes throughout the building.

  • I wonder how Edwards cam up with the strobe design? To me they should have kept all signal models with the same Strobe as the Integrity. Even with models where the strobe is built where the strobe cover is out of the signal and the wiring is inside. Like Wheelock did with the AS. Or maybe just make the Genesis with the same strobe. Wheelock kept the same strobe design on all signals except the Exeder.

  • @MrWill1985 I believe this strobe design uses what EST calls FullLight Technology. Essentially, it eliminates all of the reflectors found in most other strobes that contribute to their bulkiness. It does this usually a "cavity" located at the bottom of the alarm which (somehow) distributes the light more evenly. I believe that all Genesis products are multi-candela, but I might be wrong about that. Personally, I like the Genesis design, but I wish they could've kept the Integrity sound.

  • the voice sounds happy to report that the building its very well connected to.... is burning to the ground.

  • my god the horn sounds exactly like a integrity and i have a integrity at my school...

  • This is the only alarm I've seen with the strobe on the bottom.

  • @wbaueraz at a building

  • ware is it at

  • They have these at the prudential center in newark

  • we have the same fire alarm at my work! lol

  • that sounds like the integrity

  • Well I am so glad it asks from our attention 3 times before informing us to evacuate

  • 2 times not 3

  • why does the "alarm" sound like the edwards integrity in code 3 horn, could it be that it is just a EST genesis w/ a modified horn, i would like to know A.S.A.P.

  • This is not a built in horn, it's only a 25 or 70V Speaker.

  • It's some kind of Edwards Voice Evac System that is an Edwards Genesis Speaker/Strobe the panel was apparently programmed to play the code 3 buzzer of the integrity. others have a siren with same or different messages

  • That fire alarms recording voice sounds very happy not serious like it should be!

  • seriously (no pun intended). he sounds very happy to report an emergency in the building. idk if i like this better or recordings that ask "may i have your attention?" don't ask for our attention, just say there's a fire and we should get out.

  • i hope by "flasher" you mean strobe. sounds like you're talking about the Wheelock E70 speaker/strobe.

  • well, irony is, my school has a SK system with SpectrAlert horn/strobes, Edwards Adaptabels, and FOS electromechanical horn/strobes! a few people have actually heard the evac, so when they hear it, they shit bricks!

  • i have the Simplex Voice Evac as my ringtone.(crappy quality, but people freak when they hear it!)

  • Where did you get that ringtone I want it

  • recorded it from a video.

  • those alarms look a little to unnoticeable. personally i like those big-ass red bells, or strobes and horns.

  • ya they do. the red ones are better.

  • i have the horn/strobe version of this(in fact, i have 2), except mine are red with white fire lettering.

  • Wouldnt that be the mfunniest ringtone?

    lol

  • these things is @ my skewl but dem be red

  • the horn kinda sounds like an integrity

  • @firealarmfreak5 well it's made from the same company but that may not fully explain it

  • @B0BBY77 Most companies offer a pretty wide variety of alert tones for their Voice Evac systems. EST happens to offer the Integrity code-3 tone as one of their alert tones. I've also heard slow whoop, fast whoop, high tone, and hi-lo alert tones on EST systems.

  • @firealarmfreak5 This is actually a speaker strobe. However it was programmed with the alert sound of the Integrity horn/strobe. And so far my old middle school I attended had the Genesis Speaker strobes installed in the building after I left. But I dont know how they sound. Wouldnt surprise me if they sounded like the alert sound in this video without the voice. My high school I attended has the Integrity horn/strobe since they renovated in 1996-1999.

  • @firealarmfreak5 It is integrity, converted to work with EST Voice Evacuation Systems.

  • do you know what kind of system that is?

  • EST

  • That's right, pivotous. It's an EST Genesis Speaker-Strobe. Soccerdude7330 tests out that same alarm in his video "System Test 10".

  • well, he was asking what system, not the speaker. my guess is that this is an EST EST3 intelligent fire alarm system with an EST3 voice evacuation panel using EST G4-S7VM speaker/strobes, and maybe even GC-S7VM speaker/strobes as well.

  • ...do you come in peace? (i know nothing about fire alarm codes. i know company names and that's about it.)

  • umm, yes?

    that's a weird question dude...

  • it sounds like alien talk to me.

  • You asked why the strobe looks funny on video.

This is because the light sensor in the camera lens is suppose to darken if intense light is being picked up to prevent damage to the photo cell. Since the lens is adjusting and re-adjusting for normal light so fast, it can't pick up every single strobe flash.

  • Actually, it's because the strobe flash is only about 1/500th of a second long, which often does not occur while a video camera is capturing a frame (when the "shutter" is closed).

  • in new york city our hotel had these alarms

  • dont you think if there was a fire that people would stop and leave the building even if a *very happy sounding voice for an emergency* didnt tell them to?

  • hahaha! I fricking love these talking ones! they're soo weird! My school has three fire alarms: first, in most of the classrooms, a triple chirp, then, in the mail hallway, there's a talking one and one that sounds like a police siren.

  • Where does it Say That??????

  • Haha these alarms crack me up. They have to tell people to stop and leave the building! HAahaha

  • It sounds to happy! =D

  • It sounds to happy! =D

  • It sounds to happy! =D

  • Where does it say that?

  • My high school which was just built last March has these everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. But they are red and produce a low *BOOP BOOP BOOP* tone. I think they had to put in so many because they are so damn quite. It basically sounds like a truck backing up. I remember last year when they were having troubles with the system, it went off atleast 3 times a day for a week.

  • LOL. such a big emergency, such a happy voice! =D

  • FRAMES PER SECOND

  • Are these Simplex?

  • EST: genesis series

  • Integrities series.

  • No, Genesis. Speaker Strobe. Uses the same horn as integrity

  • its not a physical horn, its a sound driver.

  • aka speaker

  • Why does a strobe light travel down the wall like that? I'm just curious

  • No, the camera just didn't pick it up very well

  • The camera can't pick up the strobe flash that quick.

  • It flashes a beat per second

  • Is that an EST(Edwards Systems Technology) Alarm?

  • yes. an edwards genesis speaker/strobe.

  • Sounds like the Integrity i mean the horn

  • yes it does. i heard that same alarm in a building and then a sound clip of the integrity and noticed they sound exactly the same. now granted thats a speaker, so it can make any sound that the control panel tells it to do.

  • I've seen some EST alarms go off,The strobe flashes every time it does a pulse, and in between.

  • U can even record voice and that. There are many diffrent Voice evac messages

  • That code 3 sounds like a temporal horn screech.

  • its alomost like the guy is real to know there a fire lol

  • Well, I think the whole point was to make it so it seemed to have a calm feeling to it, as to not make anyone panic. I do admot though, it does sound a tad too cheery...

  • The recording sounds way to cheery.

  • :D ATTENTION! ATTENTION! PLEASE SEIZE OPERATIONS :D! lol
