  • I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee Alanissssssss...

  • She gain weight, she looks better!

  • love her, I hope she can come to argentina again!

  • Growing older has totally worked for her...so hot....and oh, sucha rocker!!!

  • She's just amazing! Such a beauiful heart coupled with an epic voice! Every song is about truth in all of it's various shades of meaning! I pray that I can continue to be moved by your song when I am 108!!

  • 1:26

  • she's so sweet.

  • Alanis, I am sure that day has came for you long ago! Such a powerful song, yet so simple!

  • Huh? Did i hear Alanis say, quote, "She knows god, and.....SHE,,,,,,,,,,,,WTF!!!!!! LOL, What a fucking dolt. Fuck you and Fuck Girl power, idiot.

  • Hey Alanis, shut the fuck up and sing the damn song, you pretending to deep is a laugh, youre a lucky jerk that hit it with a stupid song. You were platinum, shut up and sing, this song is like a sharp stick in the eye. Alais, SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • como esta hermosa su voz =)

  • She will go down as the most talented influencial female singer/songwriter of all time.

  • @reoreason Ha...I love Alanis dearly but look up Patti Smith.

  • @yancybutler Disagree.

  • @reoreason The woman is less pop that Alanis. Listen to the song pissin in a river. She was before Alanis and if anything served as an inspiration to her.

  • @reoreason Or a live version of horses that came out in 1976- Alanis was 2 and at that time Smith was pushing the envelope about more relevant material than some guy breaking her heart ala you oughta know.

  • @yancybutler I remember doing a cover of hers 33 years ago, Rock n roll nigger. No` nowhere near Alanis.

  • @reoreason Right ,but she was reappropriating the word ,not using it in any kind of racist context. I love Alanis really I have everything from jlp to foe (with the most love for sfij.). But when I put her up against an artist that takes on bigger issues (alanis does sometimes, but more often it's a focus on her love life) It's hard to hold her up as more valid than an artist that has consistantly took on more issues. Same reason I also think Ani Difranco is more relevant as a lyricist.

  • @yancybutler Its Alanis for me.After the greatness of her last album I think her best is yet to come.

I don`t want to compare with Patti Smith, different times ,different attitudes etc Alanis is pure melody with fantastic vocals so many songwriters ,producers and artists have tried to copy and failed.

  • @reoreason I can very much agree there. I think Alanis has a beautiful voice and can come up with great melodys. Glad to see you're a fellow lover of flavors of entanglement! It's my second favorite of all of them.

  • This is the best live version here on youtube.

  • Wow!

  • Beautiful! ♥

  • She is amazing!!! love her hair! She makes me proud to be a half german :)

  • She is GORGEOUS! Her hair is fab!

  • so much realness! i am proud to live in times of Alanis Morissette

  • @BoyGeorge47 couldnt agree more

  • I'll be a friend to my friends who know how to be friends.

  • This song truly is me! I am exactly like this! <3

  • I love how she always writes songs about things I have felt too... I fight every day with my tendency to think in the future and feel that someday I will be comlete, when all Ihave to do is live the present and enjoy it.

Thanks Alanis, you are the best teacher ever!

  • beautiful voice alanis!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i'm obsessed with this song right now love it ♥

  • @ Snakeskinsaddle

    I agree ;)

  • te quiero

  • me senti incompleta hasta el momento en que te escuche y supe que no soy la unica , gracias por ser tan sensible

  • Dime como no amarla <3

  • some of her songs make me cry...bea-utiful!!!!

  • Till this song has arrived, I was incomplete all my life..

beautiful song! powerful meaningful lyrics by the most gifted and poetic singer!

  • the lyrics is pure evryone can relate...it's from her soul..i love it!

  • The guys in the band look like they belong in the Talking Heads, but I always have loved artists who sing from the heart and not the checkbook, loved her since '95 and will continue to do so regardless if she gains 10 pounds or isn't at the top of the charts, I like her for who she is. I wish I knew someone with such an awesome personality. And that's coming from a guy who thinks Metallica is soft rock and Cannibal Corpse is regular metal. Alanis is pure music.

  • my god...she's sexier now than ever... :-O

  • i love you...... <3

  • So Pretty, So much feeling she's an angel in her ways. She deserves the world so much beauty in her and her voice. Love it thanks for posting.

  • i like it .

  • wunderbar !

  • Perfect song.. Im going through that.. Thumbs up if it relates to you NOW.

  • I like it when Alanis is more full around the face She looks more healthy.

  • @RobotBadger I hope you are kidding. This is such a bizarre and gross comment. She is a soul and so are you.

  • This is exactly how I feel...

  • A great singer & songwriter. Missed you.. glad you're back! :-)

  • her voice is amazing..!! when it comes out of her mouth tou cant believe its really her!! i loveeed her music!! :D

  • This song reflects how I feel at this point in my life so well...

  • She does have a degree in phycology and has a gift of expressing everyday emotions, that many people feel, through music in a way we can all relate. So to the person that didn't like her use of the word "sweaty" doesn't get it. What happens when you RUN for a long time...you get "sweaty". It was an honest use of the word. She didn't want to make it pretty, she wanted to be honest - as usual. :)

  • @17daisyjewels I totally get it...still it doesn't make for a good word in the chorus of a song that otherwise could be pretty decent. I mean Alanis gets enough flak for being a hippie chick does she have to put the image of her as a sweaty smelly one in peoples head?

  • I saw her live after the release of "Flavors". SHE WAS AWESOME. This is the 2nd album where I Loved every song. She writes in a way that speaks to the masses. She has a gift, using the word "sweaty" - the line is "running sweaty" We run through life so "sweaty" was honest. It is real feeling if you have ever worked your fingers to the bone - sweaty and all - like we are running a marathon.

  • Wow - IDK how some of these comments got here over this song about allowing yourself to evolve instead of looking for a finish line that you will never find. That is the beauty of it all...evolving, changing, improving yourself without missing out on life happening all around you. Enjoy moments in life NOW. Money can never replace time. Love yourself and the people around you NOW - don't wait for a finish line.

  • It is fine to set goals but don't fret over when you get them done or put yourself down over it. Be thankful for everything and everyone you have in your life now and you will be blessed with your LIST when the time is right. Don't worry about other's judgments on your decisions and in addition, stop judging others for theirs. Your path might be right but not the one for everyone to travel. Stop running through life and stop for a moment to be thankful.

  • "feel safe" when you hear her voice I kinda know what you mean ,when you listen to Alanis its like we owe her our time becuase her songs are so amazing and from the heart and you feel happy after listening............That is apart from this one !! sorry it sounds really old fashioned fsr I cant work out why it just sounds "Old . Still love you Alanis xxx

  • so true alanis

  • Absolutely stunning artist. Beautiful voice, intelligent, charming: the intrigue of Alanis is endless.

  • Did she have plastic surgery??

  • @Scrap5000

No, that's how you look when you're a vegetarian.

  • @TheKenTerry

HA! Try again...90% of vegetarians look like the jews freed from concentration camps!

  • @Scrap5000

My bad, I didn't know I was dealing with an anti semetic.

  • @TheKenTerry you're a stupid fucking ass. "antisemetic", motherfucker PUH-LEASE. Eat a dick!

  • @Scrap5000 You sound like a retard. How the hell did your parents have children? It's obvious they both huffed glue for at least seven years. That being said, tell your siblings i'll be visiting them at the zoo.

  • @TheKenTerry So now YOU're the one making REAL racist remarks??!! You calling my family a bunch of gorillas b/c we're black??!! OH HELLLL NO! Calling Sharpton right now, muthafucka, it's on!!

    Cracka ASS Cracka!!

Lawsuit coming your way, dick eater!

  • @Scrap5000 hmmm...Alanis...Woody Harrelson, Alcia siverstone, Pamela Anderson...nah vegitarians look fine.

  • @yancybutler Maybe on the outside...but if you look inside their brains, they are usually insane or at least very, very neurotic in some way or other.

Alanis is the only normal one of those 4 you listed...that means that 75% are bat-shit crazy...and that says a lot...

  • @Scrap5000 don't you think eating meat loaded with growth hormones ,chemicals etc. (basically any fast food "meats". the average american diet.) is insane and being healthy would imply one being a bit more with it. Some take it over the top though I will give you that.

  • @yancybutler Oh don't get me wrong; the hormones and all that other stuff is TERRIBLE, and should be outlawed. Only go with organic if you can!

But either way, meat definitely provides necessary nutrients that you can't get through just fruit and veggies, and that's why vegans must take supplements...so right there it's proof that just veggies alone is not a natural diet for humans.

  • @Scrap5000

I'm an avid omnivore trying to go selective (family farmed meats...), but I've read my share about vegetarian and vegan diets. Never has it been supported that humans NEED the nutrients found in meat EXCEPT for B12. However, if you switch from an omnivore diet to vegan after having consumed, say, 8 years of meat, your body has probably stored enough to last your whole life.

Anything else can be acquired by a wholesome, balanced diet.

    (e.g. see the food info-sheet on vegsoc_org)

  • @anhVOCALIST A wholesome and balanced diet is one with meat. Nobody NEEDS meat, but what is your point? Meat tastes good, my body likes it, My teeth and digestive systems are adapted to eating it. Why the hell not? We aren't cows. It's not like we have four stomachs or eat rocks to digest cellulose found in plant matter. We are supposed to eat fruits and berries, not leaves. You aren't in the right, either. Not to mention geographically most of them weren't available.

  • @BfeoAdmin

my point is made quite clear in my posting: Meat does not provide necessary nutrients that otherwise cannot be acquired.

I'm pretty certain I'm right about that...

    Why not eat meat?

As I said, I'm an omnivore, so you'd have to ask a vegetarian or vegan. I know, however, many cite ethical and ecological reasons.

  • We all have some kind of accent to bring out to perfection.

Alanis speaks a perfect language for us, who intend to see, the things not many is prepared to care, as she cares, to our benefit and her freedom on being what she have choose as a Human and beautiful person of our heart.

  • Loved FOE but this song is just off putting and sounds like a b-side from SCC. Using the word sweaty is also pretty ugh-this sounds sill I know it's just off putting Swifty would have worked just as well without the ick factor.

  • @yancybutler this is true the same with not as we I few of the words can be changed to fit in better it's still a good song if you can actually sing it a besides she's canadian no offense ment

  • what a beatifull women. this is happier song than not as we they will always have a place in my heart

  • truelly a beutiful song

  • Beautiful performance.

  • Alanis is a goddess, pure and simple. She touches our hearts with her beautiful words, and even her angst; what an incredible woman!

  • ABSSOLUTLEY amazing her music is so meaningful.Love it :)

  • I love this woman,i will always love Alanis and her music genius..and her look on life.

  • I love this song and i've looked up 3 dif. versions and she always sounds so great.

  • GREAT SONG. Although I think it sounds like an irreverent Broadway song. I could easily hear this in a musical. That's not really a bad thing. I mean, if Broadway would get a little hipper, more modern. LOVE how it has this fairy tale sound to it. Isn't it ironic ?

  • It really nice to see so many nice messages about Alanis & how much people love her & how much she has touched your lives. Its nice to know other people go though & feel exactly how i feel, & shared joy of how her songs help us =)

  • Alanis is the most emotially intelligent person I know.

She's deep and true and simply AMAZING.

I can only immagine how much Ryan R. has missed on this "trade" of his...

  • alanis has been my spiritual guide since i was 16. she always puts out the songs that have helped me get through the tough times of my life. this song was one of the major turn around for me recently...

  • better than the original...

  • Comment removed

  • wow she is amazing

es la mejor solista que haya escuchado en mi vida

  • amazing how she sounds live like she does in CD's

    Few artists are like that

  • Excellent musician and absolutely GORGEOUS. That voice is a total aphrodisiac.

  • I love this song so much i feel slightly buzzed after listening to it...and without alcohol

  • If you love Alanis check out 15 year old Brittany Kwasnik and her original song, BREATHE on You Tube. She sounds kinda like Alanis and Dido... She's really great!! She is songwriter, guitarist and singer and Canadian like Alanis! If you like her song, rate it, post a comment and even subscribe to her music videos! I did! I really really like her!!!

  • That woman is amazing!

  • tag

  • She looks heavy here, too much makeup too. I can't believe she isn't having fun... but then often happiness is just a gift....

  • Is she pregnant here?

  • lmao, "gave birth" shes fucking with the guitarist. funny. in a nice way of course

  • 1.36. She has to tell him to play with more aggression! She's a cool character.

  • I can so relate to this incredible song...I fear that I'll be forever incomplete and my achievements will mean nothing to people, that I won't be satisfied, fill my empty space and be happy and peaceful inside...I have moments of this but not consistently so

  • No,no, you don`t need achivements to be satisfied and be at peace, you just have to give up, sitt down and let go of it..

All you have is all you need, all you are(when you`re not trying so hard) is all you need to be, it`s all inside. : )

  • i love when artists take the time to talk about their songs before performing them. whenever she opens her mouth its so effortless i love that about her

  • I love the feeling inside me, while inhaling this song. I love being touched by it and feeling likewise.

    Joe.

  • aww cute

  • She is becoming very beautiful as she grows older..

  • @vasoulitsa --- She has Always been Beautiful... now , at age 36... she is starting to realize that she is no longer the "girl" who lived in cheap motels playing Grunge Clubs and such... now her "outside" is becoming more "polished"... but she has Always been Beautiful... as her Greatest Beauty comes from Within... at the beginning of this video she speak about her life... as she would work work work and not take Care of herself... now she has both the time and Money to do so.. and she looks it.

  • @vasoulitsa - she has always been beautiful. =/

  • flavors of entanglement is her best album since Jagged little pill

this song is so awesome... :)

  • well...it's certainly her best since Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie.

  • this is d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y better than the one in her album. Amazing.

  • What a babe. Perfect teeth, mine look like walnuts.

  • Amazing! This is one of my favorite songs!!

  • Oh wow. Amazing.

  • adoro essa música, se identifica muito comigo.....e ainda adorooooooooooo alanis......

  • I think she has sang this song for so many times that the emotions are running out of this song..This is such a beautiful song with inspiring lyrics..

She could have done a little better with a little up and downs in her vocals....

All i am saying that she has ran through this song with such a hard and flat ..voice

  • this was performed prior to the release of the album- so if anythinn it was one of her first performances of this track.

  • I Lover her :D

  • alanis is fucking brilliant. the lyrics to this are amazing, and she sounds even better here than on the album version.

  • This song has become an anthem to my life..... with amazing meaning.... it has really touched my soul and my life in general.....

Love you Alanis.. this song wasnt performed on the mexico city concert but anyway she sang "everything" which is another of my all time favorites!!!

  • i love her. i would marry her if were neighbors lol

  • She looks great being a bit tubbier than before! Love her to bits

  • yeah, she lost all of it though. Have you not seen her performance of Not as We on Roise? Youtube it. she has had a massive make over.

  • Wow! I have only just looked at her now, since your recommendation 3 weeks ago. She looks just lovely with dark hair and make-up

  • good.,.,

  • Simply the best!!!

  • sem igual cara!

  • Such an inspiring song and a great performance.

  • I LOV U

  • thank you. this is amazing.

  • Alanis is the the female Bob Dylan...

  • Well that would be Ani Difranco if anyone. But Alanis is AMAZING- but way less folk than either Difranco or Dylan.

  • Ani Difranco is AMAZING too. I'm just in awe of Alanis because she is so free and uninhibited. And so is Ani. But I'm keying on Alanis now. Capece?

  • Oh, I hope and wish all the love for Alanis. She is my favorite even over that of Difranco.but one is more like Dylan than the other and it isn't Alanis.

  • very true m8 i agree

  • Beautiful....

  • I love this song <3 I love Alanis <3

  • I don't think so!!!

    They're so different

  • she seems to be getting better with the years passing by, prettier than ever!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG TOO !

it's my favourite at this time.

My last one was "Giggling again for no Reason", in the same NEW album.

  • You're right - it doesn't matter. And btw, the lost so much weight during the last weeks and months, take a look at her recent performances - it's amazing.

  • i think she just looks healthy, before she was really too thin

  • Ask Alanis about Marilyn Manson. She will react to his name.

  • 0:05 ...man this woman is godness!

  • I LOVEEE how she refers to god as "she"

and i love her, she's by far my favorite singer out there right now.

  • She is so amazing! Her lyrics are always so raw, completely honest & just heart breaking. Alanis is the one of the last of a dying breed of artists...

  • hope this wont the next single.. I mean I like it but there are better songs on FOE that should be HITTING the lists

  • i love how beautiful she sounds and is live, worlds away from other artists who depend on studio technology so much for their album.
