Haha, I started rocking out and thumping on my skinless djembe when you got to the percussive part. Yes, your performance was so good that it inspired me to thwack mindlessly on a broken drum, and come on, that HAS to be a rare distinction.
You're welcome. There's a great live recording with Danilo, Dori, and Nana Caymmi (Dorival's kids) that really grabbed me. That whole album is great though; it's called "Familia Caymmi en Montreux".
Mestre, menina? qqqq nao, acho que eu soh sei certos classicos caymmianos. Esse aqui, nao. Eh possivel que tenho um disco por aqui com ele. nao sei. eu vou procurando.
Great job once again. Maybe your new mike is better for picking up sounds .....er up close, as opposed to recording an area from a distance....just a thought.
Yes, I tried that too. It seems to work fine in Garageband and Audacity (audio only), it's just iMovie that seems to be the issue. I'll keep messing with it. Maybe it's just my voice? I'm never as loud as the other women in the band either when we play, and we have the same mics.
Your voice is good enough for bossanova. Singers like Chico Buarque, Joao Gilberto, Vinicius de Morais e outros were very criticized at the begining but today they are regarded as the creators of a style.
I could have said that I just was itching to try my new mic (it's not working the way I thought it would, at least in iMovie) but this song wouldn't leave me alone. Plus I haven't played the Craviola in weeks.

"I'm never as loud as the other women in the band" er, is there something you aint telling us?
Seriously, sing a bit louder with a little more confidence, it couldn't hurt, your voice is better than you think.

I used to have a box of those. It had a built in sharpener. Life was good then.
