@sayedsab @ Depends which geographical region you are talking about. In Tehran we pronouce ghand na keh QAND. and if you look at the Ghazal it is gerefteh. GEREFTI would be fe'ele maazi for MASDAR GEREFTAN braye wahed HAZER ( 2nd person singular) and that does not make sense in this GHAZAL as it is about third person. i hope this explains it all.
The Voice, the Music and the Poem - all match perfectly well. While the first is very pleasant, the second, the music, gets you to the world of beautiful dreams. Most important is the poem itself enriches your spiritual world and deeply touches the heart. I really enjoy listening and wish it never ends.
I would love to hear the words of Rumi read by a Persian native who also speaks and translates English ...please help me find this poet, a Persian native.
@durgaaa Persian language cannot be translated into ENGLISH.. you have to lear it sir. Rumi never believed in Nations, langauges etc.. you are kncoking at the wrong door if you are exploring nationalism with Molavi..
@HomayunShirzadeh - I did not say that the Persian language could be exactly translated. I am a lady, not a "sir". If you will read carefully, you will see that I seek a Persian who speaks English and can translate English. I believe that person could share Rumi like no one else. Coleman Barks does a good job, but is not Persian. And no, I am not interested in "nationalism".
@durgaaa I am sorry for mistaking you as SIR... not a nice title for a lady I suppose. This is recited by a Persian native. I am sorry again. have a nice day.
Although I have left Iran when I was only 5, I could not help but be impacted by this beautiful poem, so wonderfully edited. Thanks for posting. Simply beautiful
i dnt understand farsi tho i love 2 learn it becoz of poem and persian ppl.i love dem wiv my all respect.Homayun Shirzadeh , freesiia n sinajon1 r my huge encourgement.becoz of dem i can watch these priceless Poems n Kalaam from those scholar of Islam n world.A big thanx all of dem who r decating their valuable tym 2 bring dem 2 us.Jazakallah khair.
a nice presentation of molvi rumi.i listen this kalam in the voice of respected ali mohammed moazzani of tehran university when he was visiting professor in india
good interpretation and presentation. Although some parts do not portray the full meaning, its still expected since without insight into the persian mindset and background some of the translations can be fully appriciated.
Thanks for appreciating the effort. I think NO one can translate Farsi into any other language as in Farsi we speak in inter related and reteculated ideas, unique to this language only. The english translation is just an attempt to make it attarctive for English speaking world.. I would never even think of understanding Malavi without understanding Farsi.
Tks for translation

Rumi is the greatest poet for all Tajik Afghans and from the East in general.
Native from Balkhi. Remember his words:
"Say in Dari (Persian) even if Arabic is better, love will find it's way through languages on its own"
Payanda Rumi! Jawid Rumi! Rumi-e-Balkhi-e-man! Rumi-e-Tajikam! Pesare Khorosan.

Here someone is hidden
who has taken hold of me and does not let me go.
Here someone is hidden
softer than the soul who led me to the garden of spirit... See more
and made me homeless.
zainabhassan786 1 year ago
Here someone is hidden
a radiant face as delicate and fleeting
as the ephemeral moment before sleep.
Here someone is hidden
like sweetness in sugar cane,
an ingvisible magician who has captured my soul.
Hidden somewhere inside, my beloved and I
have dissolved in each other.
No beauty in the world can ever tempt me
for I see only the face of my beloved.
zainabhassan786 1 year ago
Tired and in pain I searched the world for help
until I found in love the cure for my pain.
Here someone hidden whispered:
"Pass beyond your tears and
you will see the broken hearted lovers
are the lords in heaven."
Here someone hidden appeared
holding love's wine
and to him I've given all my vows
