When a snowboarder gets air, its graceful and stylish, nailing sweet grabs. when a skier gets air, poles and skis go flailing in every direction, it looks like a mid-air yard sale.

A snowboarder can ride regular or switch, and spin between the two. a skier can only ride forwards or backwards, and latter involves craning over your one shoulder while plowing into the tree over your other shoulder.

Snowboarding - hard to learn (all the stuff you said is just the basics... ) but easy to master (once you get the control and basics down you can quickly get really fancy and complex tricks)

Ski - easy to learn (your on two feet and the concept of turning etc is easier to get) hard to master (once you get all the basics down, tricks etc become harder to do because you have two seperate skiis to control + poles etc.)
