@loroy111 Captain, Good Morning I MISS YOU. I MISS YOU. I MISS YOU. I MISS YOU. I swear I'll make it up to you. I'll make it up to you. I want the police to be notified. I've grown taller now. I miss you. I miss you and I'm sorry. I'm trying to find my way home. Lost in the doorstep of the empty house Silently he pulled down the shade against the shadow. He recognized the sound. The boy's face went pale. Help me he whispered as he rose slowly to his feet. The captain reached...
@gogolplex74 It's just, when you listen to an album after reading reviews that border on worship, you come at an album with very high expectations. Maybe I should stop reading reviews.
@WarGoatForestWolf666- It is a very unique, cool album. Reviews make it seem like the best thing ever, but its more "new" than the best, but thats what made it great, it inspired people. I think its definitely good, and underrated- keep in mind relatively few people know what slint is
@WarGoatForestWolf666 To be fair, your statement was idiotic. This created an entire genre, calling it overrated is just silly and a proof you know very little about real post-rock.
@geoffwoade don't try to pass off your lack of emotion on groundless and superficial cultural reasoning. You can't feel this incredible album because your life has either been entirely privileged or you're a boring person. I don't give a shit if this album created a genre or not, especially not one that I rarely listen to - I do care that it is the most emotive album ever created. And musically, I highly doubt you're qualified to talk about the album's technical merits.
@iammeistaken seriously, the idiocy of theat reply is astounding. Unless you're joking, how you can make such ridiculous judgements of my character is entirely beyond me. I have been strongly moved by many albums and songs, JUST NOT THIS ONE.
I wasn't actually talking about the album's technical merits, but as someone who studies music at university i wouldn't call myself entirely ignorant in that area
@geoffwoade The only reason I trolled you was because you felt it necessary to come into a video of a highly cherished album to many to simply denigrate it, while superficially and pretentiously sporting your knowledge of the "post rock" genre in furtherance of that ill-spirited and worthless attempt. What was the point? We're not coming into Talk Talk's youtube videos and insisting NO this album is overrated sh*te SLINT IS THE TRUE FATHER OF POST ROCK! And if people are, then they suck too.
@iammeistaken nicely put, but utterly wrong. unfortunately for you i didn't come here just to denigrate the video, i happened to be listening to the song whilst trying to get into the album . the only thing that moved me to comment was your ludicrous reaction to someone criticizing the album by asserting that IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS THEN YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT POST-ROCK. Different people are moved by different music, just accept that
@iammeistaken and i highly down that you notice your own ignorance on which "i do care that it is the *most emotive album ever created.*" happens to be only an opinion made by one person and not the whole world. you cannot scientifically prove it is the move emotive album in existence because many people would argue against it. you are not the world and the world doesnt revolve around you my friend.
@gian743 fair enough, i stand corrected on the dates (though i guess you could just say spirit of eden instead of laughing stock). my other points, however, still stand
You can't say Bon Jovi sucks on a Slint video. That's like saying that Bryan Adams sucks on a Sonic Youth video, or that Bad English sucks on a Swans video, etc. It's total B.S.

That's funny you mention Big Black, I used to listen to them a lot myself. But I will check out Mule, and I seem to have heard of Mission Of Burma, but I've never heard their music. Thanks again.
