@Binsion all of them are good and durable like many slavic machines but where Tatra climbs 100%, Kamaz can do only 60-75%. Where Tatra pulls 100tons Kamaz can only 60. Where Tatras side slope is 45% Kamaz is 35%. Where Tatra runs over bumps easily due to suspension, Kamaza is shaking. Kamaz is much better then some American or west European trucks yes, but Tatra can beat him in any of these measures.

Tatra unique chasis provides it with better weight distribution and lower center of gravity. Also due to suspension it has more contact of wheels to ground so the grip is much better than Kamaz. And since every european country had its own brand for army mostly, it suffered a lot on the new market. Thats why they came up now with new Tatra Phoenix which suppose to be comfy

@PeterZh1 yes, because Tatra had financial problems and couldnt sponsor teams in last 2 decades. Also the Loprais Tatra private team had some punctures and tried some different impported engines which were not so good and broke down. They switched to engine with 3600 Nm now and 1000 Hp.

New ones more that 100.000 Euro very much depending on configuration, you can buy with almost every imaginable extension. (I personally like Tatra firefighting units like CAS K 25 T 815 8x8 VVN)

@SynerG4ce The military version is slightly less capable than these truck-trial stripped ones. Tatra can climb 50% (45 degrees) but these specials for example can do 60 degrees or more. Even than tatra is still offrad king though. Aircooled V12 for example and the stability of vehicle is uncomperable to any other offroad truck. The military usage is enourmous, from transporting heavy cargo to carry and launch Brahmos missiles

I discovered Tatra trucks recently... They are incredible, the barebones sistem is legendary and technologically light years ahead from any european truck builder. I watched a comparative including Renault and Mercedes... Tatra beats them in all conditions.. Iveco, Astra, Man, Scania are behind Tatra trucks too. that's all.
