  • I haven't seen this in years. I remember well when I saw this as a kid how frightening those scenes were the way Sylvester's desperation is played out, even though I didn't know this was a parody of AA. Seeing it again, it's still scary. It's humor, sure, but the cartoon really played up the tunnel of addiction with some serious edge, it feels like. Pretty bold for its day.

  • "Yes, I did weaken. Thanks a lot."

  • This isn't the only time Sylvester has tried giving up his pursuit of Tweety.

  • i love his face at 2.32

  • At the end. Reverse psychology role reversal

    Played very straight

  • lol exactly man I was thinking the same way, I hope people get the point, it's about addiction and when someone's trying so hard to get off of his bad habit, you will always find difficulty at the beginning :)

drugs smoking masturbating drinking watching porn these are the worst things ever..

  • That was Bye Bye Blackbird. And now we'll play When The Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along

  • This will be the closest thing we'll get to "Looney Tunes Rehab".

  • Fav. quotes:

    "...I was a 3 bird a day pussy cat."

Thick Italian accented TV announcer: "...Every succulent-a morsel-a will-a simply melt in-a you mouth! (Sylvester pants uncontrollably) Weee how eeeasy the-a white-a meat-a a slices, eh? (Sylvester's stomach growls) Yummm Yumm!" X-D))))

  • @ninjagrl8 yes, yes, yes.... funniest cartoon ever... way over the heads of the kids... It won the Academy Award.... Mel Blanc did all the voices.....wish they would quit pulling this..

  • and now we'll play the red red robin comes bob bob bobbin along LMFAO!!!

  • Only Warner Bros. could take substance abuse and turn it into a big joke.

  • One of the very beast to come out of the Warner Animation Studios. The only shorts I would rank above this are the Bugs, Daffy, Elmer "Hunting Trilogy" shorts & my all time favorite "Duck Amuck". Its hilarious, ahead of its time, at one point depressing, & still relevant today. This is one of the finest pieces of work that Warner produced.

  • I like the irony of Sylvester stopping the tom cat from eating the bird at the end. lol

  • One CARTOON at a time !!!

  • If you ever have to explain addiction and AA to a small child, this cartoon can help immensely.

  • This is one of the funniest cartoons I have ever watched. I laugh out loud every time I see it. I have tears running down my eyes at the part when his mouth gets tight...lol
