@FreakAboutSims3 Nor did I, and actually the floating books scene reminds me more The Sword in the Stone (when Merlin packs all his stuff before moving to the old castle).

The music, though, is clearily inspired by The Sorcerer's Apprentice. As ColdWarShot commented a few days ago, it may be that Daniel Ingram (composer of MLP music) wasn't inspired by the Fantasia movie, but just from original classical score.

@NikeXTC I am not sure that this is a fantasia reference. If you recall, Fantasia was a compilation of classical masterpeices set to animation. That segment's (with Micky Mouse) number was "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" written in 1897. Since Twilight is the element of Magic, and is essentially under Princess Celestia's aprenticeship, it can be assumed that the piece fits her charecter. It is more likely that Daniel Ingram used this music without Disney in mind.
