@alw716 thank you so much, it's highly appreciated.
i actually did this a long time ago so I'm not too sure about the details anymore, but i think it took me two weeks of work on this and the sleepwalker music video (i worked on those at the same time) - so I guess roughly it took me one week.
@talinea42 thank you. I AM making more brickfilms but my hard drive is full of started projects that I still need to finish (and I might, some day). Currently, I'm working on a swiss german film, nothing for you, I guess. But you can check out some of my other brickfilms by just looking at my other uploads ^^
@Mrgoaway29 aw, thanks. does that mean you have not seen wallace and gromit & the curse of the were-rabbit? you're missing out on something awesome, my friend ^^
@gobykinglord thanks, but actually, this film was done in stop motion because it was supposed to be. imagining that in real life and with real people would certainly lack core qualities of the film. of course you're free to imagine whatever you want and you may also refilm this video with real people xD
@Passwordcracks thanks. this is actually one of my smaller projects... did that in a week or something (and it wasn't during holidays ;-))
and yes: I have a lot of bitten legos :D after all, those were our toys back in the day and everyone knows that toys have to end up in a kid's mouth at some point :D think of it like something similar to the fingerprints in nick park's animations... reminds you of what exactly you're seeing, namely toys coming alive (after being brutally bitten by kids xD)
@kevinbob9 thanks a lot, appreciate it. Is there no official music video then? that'd finally explain once and for all, why everyone is watching this film :D
@GrizzlyBoy2k10 lol, pardon my english. I appreciate the positive reaction (lol, who wouldn't), but I kinda don't know what "tight has video" means ;-) thanks though. I'm amazed that people are still finding this video and even comment on it :D
Hi there, I started searching this song on utube, because somehow Sugarland's interpretation of Brooks and Dunn's Red Dirt Road brought this piece to mind. Don't ask me to explain it, I couldn't if I tried. I like what you did with this.
dude, no problem. if you can get me a sponsorship for doing animation that has no commercial value since it costs about 3 times as much as comparable production methods from a rich business, I won't say no ;-) but for now, it stays a hobby... you know, as long as i don't get paid, there are no obligations either
Man, your really motivating, guys! Would never have thought I'd get that kind of feedback - because as a matter of fact: it took me about a week to shot and produce that short... that was when I still was going to highschool and had loads of time, granted - but still... I have not worked very hard on it and in my opinion, it's pretty visible... I mean, I even consider most of MY works to be better than this. Guess it's just the great song that makes up for the quality ;-)
Hehe... thx again but ion all fairness: the idea of the film may be quite awesome but after all: I'm not FOX and I don't have the equipment, the money or the time to make a brilliant movie ;-) but i'm glad, some people like it
About the "keeping up"-part: at the moment, i'm going to college and don't have the time for stop motion - which i regret - so maybe around christmas, i'll do somethiing again... possibly another music-vid, probably without LEGOs :-)
... (hinges jaw back on) seriously, thats AWESOME! ive tried my hand at flash animation and a little of stock but that was the best ive ever seen... just one thing.... how big is your lego collection? :P
Hehe, so u mean my animation's great but the collection blows? xD Most of my legos are pretty exotic like jungle and stuff... i could've made the train pass some of that but 1st: that makes it more difficult to animate and 2nd: it would've made it even more difficult to understand than it already is ;-)
hehe, seems like some people are quite enthusiastic 'bout my little movie there... thanks, I'm really happy about that
Now, about the viewer count... guess I didn't type in enough tag words to make my movie famous... and I wouldn't know what else I could write. But however, why don't you just recommend it to your friends ;-)
