As a huge Sox fan, I have a huge deal of respect for Mariano Rivera. His longevity and dominance, and I find it retrospectively hilarious that people thought Mo was done. 7 years later and he's still going strong. I don't know how. I swear, if this guy accomplished all this in a Red Sox uniform, he would be my favorite player of all time.

Since 2004, he's won two Rolaids Relief awards, a Sporting News Professional Athlete of the Year award, gave up only two runs in 31 subsequent postseason innings pitched, and was the only closer not to blow a save or lose a game in the 2009 postseason, en route to his 5th world championship. Ludicrous stats and credentials to disprove a ludicrous comment.
